Lyrics
Theres nothing left
Theres no words to say
Theres only one choice...

Verse:
(Lets leave this shadowland behind)
No one will notice 'til after we're gone
(Lets leave this shadowland behind)
You've been shattered so long, this time your not alone

Lets take in the scenery as we're flying on the wind

Chorus:
Lets shout it out, lets make it loud
across the mountains to the other side
We're moving on, lets sing this song
I can hear our destiny call

(Lets leave this shadowland behind)
They promised you more than they would give, it was all a lie
(Lets leave this shadowland behind)
You never sold out and you always knew your rights

Lets take in the scenery as we're flying on the wind

Chorus:

Verse:
(Lets leave this shadowland behind)
We'll escape by night and cross this jungle of emotions
(Lets leave this shadowland behind)
Rise like the sun and fly over the ocean

Shadowland
A funky, jazzy journey. Scott's drum groove is cool and the stops are a nice contrast. Like the hammer-on pull- off guitar, and Andy's sax is always cool. Vocs have a hip/hop flavor.

Now,
this is in your face! Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys. I really appreciate the amount of patience you both exhibited with all my persnicketiness. I love these lyrics and they are ripe with meaning and nuance. Love the way you handled my sax.
Peace, Sax and Happiness!

70's era stones
You probably weren't going for this but between the sax and the chuncky rhythm guitar it reminded me of 70's era Stones (Some Girls, Beast of Burden). It also has that lazy kind of R&B groove. Nice

:D
Don't let Scott and Andy fool you they had a lot to do with the production of this, for one they recorded their own instruments and two they gave me invaluable advice when I was mixing and mastering!

To me this song just rocks, it would be amazing Live!
Glad to be a part of this one! Thanks guys and thanks to all for the nice comments!

nice nice nice stuff guys. what an incredibly cool combo of styles and sounds. that funky guitar and bass, the jazz-sexy sax, the rock drums, and the sort of hard rock delivery of the vocals. rock fusion at its best. so cool. all performances are excellent. my only wish is that the vocals were a teeny bit louder in the mix. otherwise this is KILLER!

WHAT!!!
You know I love this - did you all write this specifically so I could go nuts?!! Jazz-funk-rock-blah-blah ...no point in trying to pigeon-hole such inventive sounds, it's outstanding!!! I'm amazed. I'm captivated. I'm in awe.....

Please...., let me catch my breath.....this is too much.

In the best way, dudes!

Nice
I like the vibes with this. The chorus of people singing sounds great. The guitar and sax are tasteful. Good stuff.

I do have some constructive criticism, and once again it's technical. I would put a spectrum analyzer on the guitar and saxophone, and find out where they are choking each other. They seem to be doing that. Also, the vocals could be a bit louder or have more treble. I would also compress them as there is a lot of variation in the singer's vocal projection.

Once again, that is all technical advice. I like the song more I listen to it as I go along.
