Description
What with the problems that Iceland's natural phenomena are causing for many of Europes would-be travellers I thought that this Soundscape-ette, of a journey by Space Shuttle, would cheer me up......and it does.

I hope things clear up for all concerned as soon as possible. Meanwhile enjoy a virtual journey on me.

I am always open to your thoughts and comments on my mixes.

Hi DA.......
These rides are a virtual trip away from the cares of modern living. I'm glad you enjoyed the 'trip'.

Always good to hear your thoughts.

Take care.

Do I hear
the Zebra in action here? Whatever you used, this is very beautiful. I love the light tones you have created in this and the contrast to the deeper voices.

I too have taken a download, thank you.

Hi Dave......
It's highly likely and also maybe not likely that the Z2 was used. I'll have to check things out and let both you and Michael (below) know the answer to your questions. It's been complete a while now and I've forgotten how this one was put together.

The lighter tones are my 'sparklies'.

Take care.

nice one Paul
my wife is freaking out because a photographer she has booked can't get here from Europe. you know what they say: nature doesn't care about your rock photo shoot. anyways, this song is perfect for a quick trans-atlantic jaunt on a space shuttle. beautiful textures. there is a synth that sounds like something vibrating, wondering what it might be. you use Zebra right?

Hi Michael.......
Sorry to hear about your wifes dilemma. The sun will have moved a couple of degrees, the rocks will have shed a few atoms, but the scene will be essentially the same when the photographer arrives, apart from the angle of the sun/time of day for the shoot.

I completed this last year some time so will have to dig out the folder with the details in and let you (and Dave above) know what I used.

Take care.

I don't hear any ash in this piece
but I can imagine looking down on a plume from above. This is very atmospheric, Paul. And I too have downloaded: thanks.

Hi Richard.....
The ash was blown away by the Shuttle's exhaust. Your view of the plume sounds just excellent. Well worth the trip and the high price of the ticket.

Take care.

To some of you
this may come as a surprise, but there is something in this that reminds me of a piece by Tangerine Dream, I think White Eagle probably. It is very nice and an instant download, so thank you.

Hi Henke.......
I know what you mean with White Eagle, but that piece is far more energetic, with arppegios underlying the theme as it builds up. If these weren't in their mix, then the similarity would be more, in my opinion. I put together a far more laid back piece than their classic track.

I'm glad that you still like my music in spite of some reminding you of iconic tracks by others. I must listen to more of Tangerine Dream. I have the time to do that now.

Take care.
