Juxtapose (An Ambientle Mix)

Description
This mix contrasts two very different sounds/feelings. One a pseudo-cello and the other a bog standard synth preset. The sounds mix in emotional areas that evoke very different responses from the listener. They blend, sometimes, and, towards the end, there is a crisis (of sorts) but only one is the winner, taking the mix to a finish.

It is different, hence the Ambientle (mix of Ambient and Experimental) suggestion. The first 50 or so seconds may put you off continuing to listen but please do allow the music to 'play out' so you can hear the 'Justapose'.

A long one...
...but I thought it was very interesting and entertaining what you pulled off here. "Ambientle"--I think you may have something new and great there! Thanks for doing this!

Hi Michael......
I did wonder that a piece as long as this is, and the style it is, that it would be suitable to upload. It's been complete since last year but lay forgotten on my drive (not the one where I park my car though). I've listened to it many times over the last two weeks and finally decided to let others decide if it was a bad idea to upload. I'm glad I uploaded it now.

Take care.

Hi Ste.......
It's good to know that two or more listeners enjoyed one of my more wierd pieces. It's truly Experimental and only partially Ambient and it looks as though I've gotten away with it!!

I live in a flat so can't crank the volume up too much...

Take care.

The patience
and restraint you show in your music is so impressive. I'd love to do something like this, but sadly lack that quality. This is so cool. The anticipation and tension that builds is most excellent.

Hi Dave.......
Study and meditation allow me to be more patient and focused. This helps a great deal on these longer pieces. The 'want' of making music now is almost gone. I am pulling pieces at the moment from my working folders and making sure that they have minimal hiss, a decent fade-out and maybe some sort of fade-in. No creativity/ideas is/are there for me to play with and that's OK. I had a busy couple of years.

Thanks for all you kind observations. I still have a few WAV files that need converting and checking before upload. Then I can really sit back and relax.

Take care.

Almost cinematic
but not quite; this takes me to that part of the universe where Rheinholtian tones bounce between the spheres. Wonderfully patient development and interplay. I'm so glad that when I came back to MJ I found you had posted again.

Cheers Paul,
Doug

Hi Doug.....
It's good to hear from you too.

I'm clearning my 'creative backlog' of fairly decent mixes. Then the way is free for anything that happens. At the moment my father is doing fine so not as much concern needed there and various studies (non-musical) are filling in more of my time so unless I'm inspired, there probably wont be m/any more journeys of the imagination. And that's OK with me.

I look in most days to see what others are doing and that keeps me in touch with the MJ World Village.

Take care.

Definitely
a great upload, actually it's also a download on my side. Very nice one! On my first listen I read some family blogs in another browser tab, but gradually got aware of the sweet soundtrack. Now I'm on my second listen and it's still very good. That blippety sound is great, but needs the other parts to stay positive, so to speak. So thanks again for posting.

Hi Henke..........
The piece is a little bit strange to begin with. Deep cello-ish sounds and then the gentle sound. If listeners give up after a few seconds they will miss the juxtapose. Thanks for staying with the mix until the end.

Take care.

I'm currently busy with getting my life back on some sort of track and hope to get into the music making business again in the near future, with a planned third net album 'Karma of Love' that will be an Immersive Ambient set of tracks. This should be... [see more]
