Description
This is almost (but not quite) an APOD track

Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keyboards (I think) = Bud
Vocals, fire alarm, synth treatments and ambience = particledots

I stole my own vocals from michael2's 'Acting So Strangely' and manipulated them to fit Bud's backing track. The fire drill/alarm I recorded at work and the electronic voice says "attention attention a code red situation has been identified in this area, stand by for instructions" I deliberately left it buried in the mix to create the ambience but the harsh beeping cuts thru and ends up sounding quite musical with the track...

Is that
The Safetomatic j800 series alarm? Or is it one of those Safetomatic knockoffs? Sounds like true Safetomatic tone.

Honestly, the alarm does sound quite musical in there. What I like the most about this track is that the instruments don't come across so deliberately instrumental. That is, they don't sound like run of the mill guitar or bass parts. But there's still a distinct musical nature to them. Well done, guys!

Alarming!
No one plays the alarm like particledots!

Bud - this is my kinda trance inducing track. It's that sleeping on a train comfort. I think you know what I'm saying.

Great mix. I can't imagine what this song would sound like if I were mixing it. Nothing like this for sure.

DL'd and faved

Halon. Freon. Neon. Xenon. Inert! Alert!
This is just off the Periodic Charts! About as dreamy as you can get during an emergency. I don't know what is coming to get me, but hopefully it is benign. :-) Your work is always so deeply layered and thoughtfully laid out... worth the study and the trip. Thank you.

cool stuff
man i love the mix on that kick drum - it sounds good enough to eat. reminds me of the best moby stuff, moody and hopeful at the same time, like shooting into the future on a magnetic train.

cool
very interesting work, my brain doesn't get how people come up with this stuff? Is it just chance or do you hear it in your head first? Gotta be a left brain right brain thing I guess, none the less it's very good! Thanks.

Love what you did with the tracks Bryn
I can always trust you to make anything sound twice as good as when you got it. I'm spoiled really. I love how this is virtually APOD which only virtually exists to begin with. Really nice hearing your vocals too.

sweet
vibe! Has a "Sky" feel to it, a harmonic and - like 5EA mentions - soothing/mesmerizing quality to it. Can't judge the production quality from these speakers, but I think up to par as usual! Sweeeet, B and B! Love, Marc
