Fax2Fax (The Machines Can Talk Mix)

Description
I was thinking about dialogue between machines and especially FAX machines. They have a connection with each other, they set the parameters for both to talk successfully and they talk. This piece is a musical musing on such a conversation. (The dialogue in my music is quiet intentially as the dialogue of FAX machines can sometimes deafen, unless the volume is down).

I'm always interested in anyone's thoughts and comments, especially about my soundscapes.

Yeah I can hear
that this is fax talking (only slowed down a bit for listenabilty) but what (on earth?) are they talking about?!?!?

Otherwise a nice meditative piece at bed time...

Hi Henke.....
As far as I know, the FAX's find common 'information' for settings and then say 'OK' and the real DATA is communicated. They are far from having 'human communications' as they are never preoccupied with the weather. Maybe one day......

Take care.

Fascinating
as a concept and a piece of music. Something of the Brian Eno in this one. Disembodied but beautiful none the less. Well done. Mark

Hi Mark.....
Glad you could stop by to listen. Brian Eno could well be around although I don't remember any specific influences. It all started with the FAX-like synth preset and went from there. (I'm also an IT person so have heard far too many FAX dialogues in my time, whilst fault finding or setting them up)!!

Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Take care.

What are they plotting?
Reminds me of the movie Colossus: The Forbin Project, where computers conspire to take over the world. Terrific piece of work, Paul.

Hi Duane........
I know where you're coming from with your comments. FAX's though are dumb and only have a number of questions to ask and specific answers to these specific questions. No new questions or answers are tolerated, except as a garbage signal and the connection terminates. Not quite the world takeover conversation in the film. Maybe one day....

Take care.
