Here's another on of the older mixes, from December 2009. There are some quite possibly annoying beat frequency sections and the sparklies are somewhat mushy in places, but apart from that it's a normal Reinholtean trip.

I don't mind making fun of myself so don't be put off by the above paragraph. If I re-mixed the piece it wouldn't be Cloud Dreams, so it stays this way: a snap shot in time.

I'm always interested in any thoughts you may have about this or any of my other pieces. Your thoughts help me grow and develop in all sorts of ways.

Very meditative
The sparkly elements sound good to me Paul. Crystalline shimmering against a rumbling backdrop. I like this one. It's very Eno-esque.

Hi Dave....
Yeah....Meditative seems to be a mind set for me at the moment. The unification of opposites and all that. The pieces I put together last year were telling me something I only recently heard. I'm sure that there will be more of these meditative pieces over the next little while.

I've heard many of Eno's albums and I don't doubt that there's something from one of his many, many projects embedded (in idea only) within this and other of my pieces. I haven't listened to any for a good while. Harold Budd is my Ambient influence of the moment.

Take care.

Cloud Dreams
When I was first starting with Logic, instead of learning how to run the thing, I immediately launched into my 'Dream' series --- Water Dream, Wind Dream, and Sand Dream. Oh hahaha. They were awful, but educational at least. I was reminded of those when I saw the title. However, here we have a polished, deeply meditative, floating piece of ambient music that's worthy of the title. Just gorgeous.

Hi Duane.......
My early Ambient mixes, all lower down in my long list, are purely loops. I learned a great deal from these early mixes in how to arrange sounds and phrasings, so I leave them up here to remind me, from time to time, how I started things.

Thanks for your very kind words.

Take care.
