Description
Andy came to Greenville for a visit last week end.
As we sat in the shade of the afternoon, speaking of Macjams and tunes and anything else that came to mind over some cold ones, out in the street suddenly was a run away horse...... and in hot pursuit rode a horseless cowboy on the front of a pick up truck and five other gentlemen running along side, trying to catch the horse.
We watched this small town drama unfold, and assuming this is not something Andy sees everyday in Dallas,
I turned to Andy and said, "Well welcome to Greenville Andy."
Enjoyed the visit Andy and great meal Jack...... thanks.

Ugly Blue Yamaha Bass and Strat........ Orbit
Saxophone........ Andy Wigzell
Wild runaway horse, dinner and strange sounds......... Jack

Texicans
It is true that it has been a while. Last time I saw a riderless horse it wasnt from the comfort of sitting with great friends but more from the perspective of being the horseless rider. Fully educated. Thanks Orbit!
Ha, I was wondering if you were going to do anything with those warmup notes...

Yes, but did they ever catch the horse
It's obvious that you two caught something from the experience, a great, fun track that speaks more to your friendship and ability to pour back a few, and enjoy the goings on in the neighborhood.

Love the little effects and the "horsing around" you guys participated in on this one. ;-)

If you go by
this music, I'd say the horse was just out for a leisurely stroll, forgetting to ask for leave to do so. I'm guessing his name wasn't Lightning. Nice, moody and fun jazz piece. Good catch. :)

Puts me in mind of the street-walking Moose scene at the beginning of Northern Exposure. Guess this is Southern Exposure?

Breezy
This is cool. I like the horse walking sounds. Sax sounds great. The relaxed groove is obviously working. Reminds me of the Rumblfish soundtrack that Stewart Copeland did a while back.

What if
a cowboy's movie starts with an scene like that and with this music in the background. That would be surreal; a revolution of Morriconic proportions.
This is too cool. Downloaded. Thanks guys.

jack has a horse?
or did it get away? patrick, your music has this amazing paradoxical quality of sounding completely stream of conciousness and yet having an underlying structure. awesome sax work from andy saxman. and i'm sure jack makes a damn fine dinner.
