Lyrics
Get it together, boy, you've got something the whole world wants,
but don't do it for them, just do it for yourself.

Put it all together, son, there's no getting it back once it's gone,
and nothing's gone that wasn't lost, just show a little faith in yourself.

And though you can't know where these roads go,
it's no reason why you should hide at home.

It all keeps rolling, boy, whether you play your part or not,
It's not gonna stop for you, it sure as hell never stopped for me.

And though you can't know where these roads go,
it's no reason to hide.

And no, you can't see what the ending will be,
that's no reason why you should close your eyes,
there's no meaning to find in these distractions,
the sun will rise whether you wake or not.

classic indie sound
man, just a classic 90's indie sound. made me feel like i was hearing an old song i used to play in the dorm room or something, great vibe, the kind of song that you can play on a sunny day and not feel bad about being a little melancholy.

Oh yeah!
the indie-folkie sound is dear to my heart, I love the way this one is put together. great melody, vocals, guitars and other instruments. I thought there was a banjo in there but I guess it's mandocello? cool!

Love the banjo turning, flute trilling, rolling vibe. Very catchy & original band sound. All around very nicely written, arranged and sung, too. Cool harmony guitar break!

Cool arrangement and sound choices. Manages to feel current while still retaining some old school flavor. I like the laid back vocs/harmonies, and the song's "just do it" message rings true.

I listened to this once before
but didn't get to comment.

Very cool song! Very cool grove and equally as cool singing.

The laid back percussion works really well here.

Has a southern rock ramble to it...
WTF is a mandacello though? Whatever it is it sounds killer. Japanese Idioms? Not sure about the connection, but who cares. I dig the songs, very mellow and warm. Great harmonies, but I always write that about your stuff! Stellar production. no video? Well done.

about the idioms...
I'm thinking of dropping the whole idea and just renaming the tracks in English. It's all a bit smug, especially considering how poor my Japanese really is. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the tune, Phil.
Also, a mandocello is just a big, deep mandolin. gorgeous instrument.

Nice and dense
There's so much going on but it's not muddy at all. Good mix. It's also nice and laid back - perfect for a lazy Saturday on the deck. Thanks for the tune.
