Description
I saw first two bars in the solfedjio textbook of my second son. It was named "Romance". Liked first interval. One "folk instrument" loop is used. The rest is composed.
This piece also features Garageband and Microsoft Songsmith collab.

Takes me to another place and time, almost middle eastern influence in this. I like the structure and the composition, Very cool!

This is the
first piece I've heard that uses Songsmith... Curious how you like it?

Songsmith
Songsmith, in my humble opinion is a collection of software loops and passages to get quick arrangements. It is like a prerecorded tracks in various styles were instruments would play the same melodies and rhythm over again according to the tempo and chords progression you use.

I do not use Songsmith's main feature: Sing to it and it makes it in to music.
It simply does not work for me or may be I just don't like the interface or may be I can't sing :-) Most probably all. So what I do with it. I manually put down chords, choose style, tempo and instruments and let it play it for me. Then I export whole project into MIDI file and quit Songsmith and Windows. The rest is Garageband.
Hope I got the answer for you thou I did not directly say if I like it or not :-)

Songsmith
First of all: thanks for your attention.
Your posts were the first pieces of music I heard on MJ. I somehow Googled it searching for nice piano music. After listening I decided to subscribe and now I am even replying to your comment to my post. Well thank you for your great music (sorry that I am doing this on my page - but anyway).

Regarding Songsmith. As you mentioned Mark asked the same first. So please kindly find the my answer and opinion in my comment above.

Thanks again.

Cool.
A friendly sounding piece.

I think that between the piano and the bass another instrument could be used. Or you could play a couple notes more on the piano. That piano & guitar bit sounds better, to me.

Collab?
Or I can add something when there is a mood for it. Thank for suggestions. I will post updated version if I have it.
Or may I invite you to add another instrument. Please kindly consider.

By far the best songsmith collab ever
Oleg, this is a smooth song and I enjoyed the flavors. Most of the Songsmith things I've heard are parody based and quite awful. You however brought some respectability to a much maligned software. Congrats.

fandango-tastic
This has a little Spanish/Moorish feel, which is nice. It seems that SongSmith can be a big help in filling in the accompaniment from a chord progression. And then, it takes Oleg to add some spice and alterations across the piece, making it fun to listen to. This is very similar to how I write some of my music too, except I do not have SongSmith... I use Harmony Assistant instead. Nice choice of eclectic instruments here. Fun!
