Eccentric Ambient II (Revisited)

Description
This is a remix of my original, posted in 2005. I always enjoyed listening to this piece, but had forgotten about it until today.

The remix involves two copies with different reverb on one copy and overall compression applied to the mixed stereo pair. I've also added a fade-out. It's a tad over 5 minutes but moves rather less than sedately so you may not fall asleep.

The style is not what I'm doing at the moment but is how I started, using loops instead of performing/algorithms.

I'm always happy to read your thoughts, good or not.

proto-Reinholt
I doubt that anyone has ever had a bad thought or comment about your work. Well, I would never assign your name to this if I didn't know it was you. Definitely lacks the trademark Reinholt sound. Much busier than most of your catalogue. I'm glad you posted this. Gives us a nice retro-peak at proto-Reinholt. I listened to Aum a few minutes ago, and --- don't take this the wrong way --- I much prefer your more recent work, in which you have found your ambient niche and groove, in my humble O. Still, this is a fine piece of work.

Hi Duane.....
This is a different sound from me. All loops and rhythmic turns. I enjoyed this period of my music creativity but I came to a point where I had had enough of using loops from other sources and went on to using VST/VSTi plugins and MIDI, as I use today.

Take care.

a Paul fix!
...excellent mid afternoon tune Paul. Indeed this is a little bit different for you? I actually find this very engaging and it flows well...

Hi......
Different yes, flows well luckily. There was so much going on that I lost track (literally) of how things were going together and had to revert to counting parts out with tempo real slow, and then speeding it up for a final mix.

Take care.

Hi Michael....
I used to come close to over-egging the omelette in those days. It was a strange sort of learning curve but its helped to make me what I am today. A musical nervous wreck!! Ha ha.

Thanks for listening.

Take care.

Very Nice
So different, that's why I like it so much. Wonderful sounds, trippy kind of Oriental groove. Good stuff!

Hi Dani.....
I think you like trippy stuff. I dig it too. I put together a few pieces like this in my early days and this was one of my favourites.

Take care.

Hi Rok41.....
It's great to know that someone is a fan of what I do. It spurs me on to making more (and varied) mixes.

We'll see/hear what I can come up with next.

Take care.

with a "World" vibe! [whatever "world" means, I always say] I love the business of this. Some great little riffs and voices in there. And, I have to say, a thoroughly good mix. I see you in Sheffy Starbucks, double expresso in hand, headphones on, feet tapping whilst listening to this music.

Are you familiar with Brand X? This is like something they would have done. Most excellent.

Hi Dave.....
I do do the Starbucks thing, as you picture above, but with more recent mixes (and my Beethoven/Gorecki/other music).

I'll check out Brand X. The name seems slightly familiar.

Take care.
