Unless The Full Moon's A Risin'

Description
I thought I'd actually try and play this old electric guitar instead of using a plug-in - its just chords mostly, and the solo parts are really basic - I tried to disguise them with some keyboards behind it and added some reverb to try and give the impression I know what I'm doing.

Its sort of a song about waiting to go home while at work, with a kind of were-wolf motif thrown in - I recently completed Epic Adventure's 'Wheel Of Fortune' on the Acorn Electron emulator and at the end you had to shoot a werewolf with a silver bullet. When you finally finish the game, and got all the treasure into the trolls cave, the screen flashes and it says 'Well done'.Still - what did I expect? A cash prize?!

The picture is from the cartoon 'Fang-Face' which used to be on in the 70's.I did try making an animation of myself turning into a werewolf which turned out rather vane and silly but here it is anyhow:- (:

Many thanks - RG

Lyrics
Unless The Full Moon's A Risin'

I,I'm not alone
I'm on my own
I got a real fascination with
Why I'm on my own without a home
I guess it keeps me guessin'

But a girl
Just called my phone
She's on her own
She's got a real fascination with
Her home
She's all alone
She got no bone
I guess it keeps her guessin'

About A Who Or Why Or When
Don't come again
Unless The Full Moon's A Risin'
Guess thats why
I watch the sky
Its On All Night
I Know that she's been a-messin

When the drunks come rollin in
I tiptoe down below
Those ragged Princes know no Love
They'll strip you to the bone - get out!!

Baby's got your number
Tattooed on her heart
When the full moons rising
You'll rip yourself apart
And the devil may dance
But you'll never get back
While the fiddler calls the tune
Beneath the light of the moon

I wish I couldn't play keyboards
as well as you can't play guitar ;-)

Great work Rich. Always get something different from you.

Ant the animation is very silly, as you say, but very entertaining :)

Cheers

well
i hope its as safe as milk.i think i told you this before jack, but one time when i was only 16 - i ran away from home and slept in a field - it was the first time i ever raised a plastic bottle of milk to my lips, poured it into my gullet and a giant slug slipped through the neck of the bottle into my mouth, and i was only half awake and not used to eating invertibrates. It never put me off living like a tramp though - cheers jack - drunk a bottle of ginger wine, several bottles of pure lemon juice mixed with spring water (called 'this water' in uk) - the lazy version of just buying a lemon and some water - to get over a hangover and to reply to your message here - now pissed on two bottles of Blackthorn cider.appreciated man.Thats not meant to sound sad - at least its not vodka - and i made all my piano jobs this last week.(-:

Haha
whats it in need of? - I remember the day Mike Jacko's video of 'Thriller' came out in UK - the streets in my little village were deserted and the trees were bereft of birds as if a storm were about to happen. We all cycled home on our bmx's to our respective homes.And...at 11 years of age...it terrfied me!! and I loved it!!

Then we all met after and it was like we were drunk - at 11 and hadn't even smoked a cigarette or drunk anything - life changing moment when the thriller was released - then of course came along weird al yankovic lol. There were some great films being made just then in proper gothic style - sort of post hammer horror but pre-

Very
Cool man.
Like the guitars working with the keys and that "clappy" noise.
Love it when the 2nd vocals join in from time to time.
Great song... The solo section is inspired! Great picture too.
My first comp was an acorn electron (always jealous of my friends BBC). I don't recall that game but I was addicted to citadel and Repton 2
Nice one

paddler said 2429 days ago (August 3rd, 2010)
Thanks
Ted - the clappy noise is me clapping! ooh repton2 - I had that on a zx speccy emultaor on a symbian phone during train journeys for ages - great way to pass the journey - the green monsters could be really annoying! I think there was a cash prize when it first came out - I remember my brother trying to take a polaroid of the final screen to send off! He didnt win! Thank you very much,Ted - RG

Nothing wrong with your guitar work bro. And those classic keys fill things out nicely! But the real treat is them rhythmic quirky vocals! Nice chorus too...

Very
cool piece here. Has elements of the Doors in it to be sure. The wandering bassline and organ I think is what gives that effect. I think the cloppity sound is out of place as well. It was very distracting in the song. Maybe it is too prominent or too dry or a little of both? A fun song all around

What a hairy tour-de-force. The guitar tone is completely outstanding. Cranky and crunchy like no tomorrow. A real romp. The devil voice was the capper.
