Lyrics
They're coming to my house
They're coming to my house
They're coming to my house
There must be something there

Microwaves, television, radio waves the newspaper link
Propaganda of the masses party trying to make me think
We got gamma rays, moon beams, sun beams too
Jehovah's witness saved my day and panda from the zoo

They're comming to my house...

Magazines, flyers for the newest sale
Seventeen sweetheart nightmares comin in the mail
At a bar they heard afar of a party after three
I turned around that's when I found the party was with we!

They're coming to my house...

Yo, the meter man, the mail man, the money man and me
Walking up to my house and there a crowd we see
We got partiers, dancing girls, then that black clad set
Playin twister, drinkin my beer, this I can't forget!

They're coming to my house...

All those people some of whom I never even knew
Forced their way some left when it was through
Gotta lotta beatnik reasons to be in on my scene
All I know is all I got left is one lima bean

They're coming to my house...

Fun song. Good mix and production considering it was done 20 years ago on analog equipment.

Yeah
In the late 80's I was in college... so, yeah, this is the soundtrack to that time period, heheh. I've had various people record my bands over the years, using this analog method, and sadly we never got results even nearly this good. Of course, we ourselves weren't this good, so, ha, that's part of it. The sitar here is great, and I like the disco/bollywood percussion too.

You never think your band is as good as other people do, or you think your band is awesome when you really stink :-) Music is like that ;-)

If I can get close to the energy of that song, I'll be alright...if we had the machine power back in those days I would never have seen daylight or nightlight! I was such a jam junkie

Music creates a smile
However, the situation is something many of us dealt with, and is a bad memory. Excellent playing and song layout. The sitar-played-like-a-guitar was fun. Of course, the overall mix is slightly muffled, but given the 16 track, no problem... in fact it is clear enough to hear everything well enough, so it is a good balanced mix. Loved the beer-slogging sound effects, and the fact that you at least have a lima bean left after that mess. What a smirky fun song, thank you for posting something of YOURS for us to enjoy now!

Thanks for the deep listen
The actual event wasn't so horrible, except for the fact that most of the dancin chicks had boyfriends. I appreciate the fact that you heard the sound effects and provided such supportive feedback.

Muchas gracias

This has a nice bass line and the keys are cute. Thanks for sharing the tape. I think I was at some of these, but none of the tapes sounded this sweet.

I did the analog tape thing,
in the 80's and it was a pain in the fun, but I also loved being able to do multi track back then.

Great song and a great band you had there, Pap. Good quality especially since it's and old analog recording. Do you still have the 16 track and what kind was it. I had a Tascam TRS-8 with half the tracks that you had, but I couldn't afford the 16 at the time.

Love the song and the recording, Pap

The tape thing...
Thanks for listening and commenting. We did the song in someone's studio on a tight clock so we did not have the full on time. I don't know what happened to the tape itself. Most of the tracks were cut in one take. The sitar player was an awesome musician from Brazil who played awesome classical guitar too.

The sitar is a really nice touch. I love how it accentuates the fun, colourful & bouncy vibe to the track.. it almost sounds like the instruments themselves are having the party.

Wit ,groove... something's Phishy here...
I'm really glad you extended this one beyond the last lima bean because it's a great groove -- sitar even! something about your vocals and the groove that could go on for hours makes it feel like something Phishy, something Trey and the gang might have heard and found inspiring. You never know, huh?

Freaky man!
What was that line at 1:23? The party was with we? Huh. The sitar definitely spaces things out. A little Zappaesque isnt it? Cool. When do we get a new one?

Early Days of MTV
Reminds of of the early MTV days. My friends and I would be glued to the TV watching The Talking Heads, Men at Work, and The Clash...all of which this fun song reminds me of...perhaps even the B-52's in the way you presented the lyrics.
