Description
From my imagination music for Dune the movie...this 4 part piece has nothing to do with the music that was in the movie, rather it is my interpretation of music for the film...

-Calling the Shal-Hulud
-The Arrival
-The Ride
-Melange

oh man
the movie would have been so much better with YOUR musical score. absolutely amazing transitions between sections and just stunning emotive orchestration. this is really quite a composition dave. definitely one of your best soundtracks.

yo
very well done. Where do you get your instruments from? I need resources like this, I have tons of similiar compositions yet lack the actual program/instrum to pull it off. is this omnisphere and/or native instrum something?

This shits epic dude.

Definite
cinematic vibe. Sounds like a chase scene song or something like that. Then a game of cat and mouse and back to a chase again. Great sounding instruments too.

If music be the SPICE of life, play on!
Holy wormcakes! This is excellent... superb composition, orchestration, and rendering/mixing, perfect militaristic soundtrack music.

I too, never got further than chapter 3 of the book, and the movie was so-so, but I'll listen to this! :-)

As an aside, make sure to listen to SomeMadGirl's similarly induced music, "Maud Dib", if you haven't already: http://www.macjams.com/song/60418

Drama! Worms! Sting!
I know nothing of what it takes to build this kind of monstrous sound, but I sincerely home you can get this kind of work-play heard by movie-makers. Indie, Hollywood, Bollywood, someone. We can't have this kind of light hiding under the bushel forever.
