Description
Steve Vaccariello: Guitar
Me: Everything else

Well, I know it's not exactly Techno, but I don't know what it is... Rockabilly? Dance? Space Invaders?

Steve has given me a lot of great playing to mix. He gave me this guitar track several years ago, but it was only recently that I figured out what to do with it: turn it into an alien bounty hunter sci-fi western, of course.

Pretty much everything that isn't guitar was made on my iPad (I also added some cymbal crashes).

Space Invaders
Oh man, I remember that video game, Atari I believe. Whew, I'm so old.

This is so trippy, but oddly enough, yes it has a Rockabilly flare to it. Awesome guitar playing, I dig it, cool pic too!

Thanks! In the early 80's all my money turned into quarters... which then turned into arcade game food. It's hard to believe that Donkey Kong was a compelling way to waste money, LOL.

I'm glad you dig this and the pic! The image is a collage of 4 other images that I nabbed via Google image search--thank you to the original artists, whoever they are.

Vacuuming up bleeps
You two make such a great team. Love Vac's expressive power, his sense of fun in his playing. The blips and beeps are perfectly seated to complement Vac's sound. I thought he could have played a little more (there's a long wait before he comes back in, noticeably, that is), interacted more noticeably with the rhythmic noises. Very clean and enjoyable. Would be antiseptic if it weren't dirty hip and way post-Rockabillly. Nice concept. Love it.

Thanks Tobin
Your perceptive critiques are always appreciated. I too wish there were more guitar, some leads in particular. Unfortunately, this was basically a guitar track that I found in the archives and dusted off, and this is all of it. (Steve, when you read this, download this song and plays leads for it :) ). At any rate, I probably could have filled the space better.
I'm glad you liked this, thanks!

This will probably sound crazy, but while I was listening Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop came to mind. I don't know why- maybe the tone of Steve's guitar? Anywho- what an awesome track!

I agree with Karen:
definitely a road trip track. So much wonderful life here and a lot of terrific guitar work, too. Your additions make this so much fun to listen to. Definitely a sit-up-and-listen number. Nicely mixed and produced. Bring on the aliens!!!!

Techxnabilly....
Alien techno fiends who play guitar from Area 51 1/2 in the deserts of Texas, where they hang out with ET and those guys from Close Encounters, and Billy Gibbons....

I totally can't WAIT to see the video... aliens with long beards and cowboy hats, classic cars that can fly in outer space... the works....

Well all of that HAS to go in the video now... it's all too perfect. I think we're going to have to combine live action with claymation, computer renders and hand drawn animation. Hmm, this could take some time.
