frippertronics: experiment #1

Description
1st attempt at getting that frippertonics guitar sound

i didn't succeed, but i did get something....

guitar sounds were realised by using a variety of software distortion and delay plugins

There are 2 different guitar tracks which i doubled, making a total of 4 tracks to be effected each individual track was put thru a series of different effects and this was the output

anyone have any comments on how to get closer to a true frippertronic sound?

also - if anyone wants to use this and future frippertronic experiments in a piece of their own, feel free to - just drop me a note in the comments on here to let me know

Experimental____
Hey - It's not Frip - however, It's pretty interesting and develops as it goes...

Enjoyed the strange guitar noises - Thanks for sharing,

mvh : )

IMHO
that comes quite close to Fripp. At least it sounds equally interesting. And IMHO again: it is better to be inspired than to imitate. Great.

Cool
The layers of sound are great. I don't know anything about getting a Fripp sound (though I love King Crimson), but the rich sounds you've created here are cool.

cool
one thing i've done more than a few times is use a long delay with infinite repeat through my digitech multi effect pedal, adding notes based around a chord. but what i would do is also use a volume pedal to ease in the notes. pretty much what you've done here

i forgot to mention harmonizing trills produces a cool sound

bug-eyed
So much ambient out there just cranks the reverb on everything and calls itself ambient. I like the fact that you dared to have a few bold, defining textures in there. Very nice weave.

Bryn
I think I prefer this version for some reason, very hypnotic and a little smoother than the other version. almost sounds like a harmonium. very nice.

To me.. it sounds what I think the corriders
in an alien spaceship would sound like. Very alien. Intriguing and a bit off putting and scary. :)
