The Bumpkins Strike Back

Description
This was the first jam Mark (ibstrat) and I recorded several sundays ago. Mark is in your left ear, I am in your right. This went on forever, so I faded it when we started going out there....but it was so fantastic to sit and play together. Listen to Mark's playing behind me...so effing cool...and there are places where we start imitating each other, which we laughed all through...to get to play with a guitar player of Marks caliber is a total honor for me. maybe we will stick drums and bass on this...but i like it all nekkid like it is.

enjoy!

Very nice!
Can appreciate those licks. Jazz, blues,rock- has it all. Cool. Thinking a light drum kit with brushes in parts?

Well, that's fun, guys....
And it certainly does perk up my Sunday morning... It's nice having that clear perception of Mark on left and Fran on right.... Makes for a neat comparison of tone and style, while also highlighting the skilled interplay...

I have to say that I wanted to hear more of what was happening at the fade...

Very nice
piece of blues work here. You all took a much less conventional road on both lead and rhythm. Excellent work from both of you you. I think perhaps a slightly less hard panning would sound a bit smoother, but sounds great. Sounds like it was quite a blast!

Can you fade back in?
Could have listened to more of this. Raw guitar in all it's beauty. Loved this jam Fran. You and Mark play well together.

The Tale of Call and Response.
A fable: Once there was a happy creature named Call, picking and pecking in the Blue Meadow. As the sun grew high, it called out, "Effing-A! Call I am!" In a start, he heard an echo, "Effing-A! Response I am!" That gave Call a start; "That was no echo!" And out from a thicket of glass bottles came Response, and that is how Call and Response came to visit the Blue Meadow.

What do you EXPECT me to do, merely praise you? A sit-down like this is the ultimate high, and to have the conversation take place between you two in particular is a treat.

Strikeback
What a fun jam, the kind that would have been awesome to sit in on. Great to hear you guys jamming together. I don't really think you need to add bass or drums to this, it sounds so good and complete.
