Something You're right. I've listened to this one countless times, and realized that it doesn't necessarily go with a fight (the way that a professional soundtrack would). This is actually a song I did long before the other ones I had posted here, so I was still a bit green then. O_O You are really good at turning a vision into music, or visa- versa... whichever you did to create this. This is a real adrenaline pumper. FIGHT! -heheh.. reminded me of Mortal Kombat. Nice. In my opinion though, the beat needs to be louder during the 'fight sequences'... it's good enough to overpower the other elements I think... and I think it would intensify the sound a bit... also the symbal crashing in the right ear could be balanced evenly between speakers (at least in headphones, it really stands out and is kind of seperated from the rest) Other than that -- its an awesome track. O_O I kinda screwed up the beat because after putting it together in GB, I added effects like reverb and some other stuff, and the volume on it was too low. When I exported the looped piece to iTunes, I closed the GB file without saving, and so I was stuck with the .aiff file that I saved in iTunes and just dragged that into the GB time line, and so I was no longer able to fine tune it (and being the slacker that I am, I was too lazy to do it over). When time permits, I will go back and redo that part, maybe spice up the bass kicks a bit, and clean it up (it sounds very fuzzy and chaotic to me at this point). Thank you for your input on this; once again you are too kind with your rating (but who's complaining eh?...) --- Why fight? Just make music baby, 'cause it's all good... good computer game music! This is excellent "rock-em-sock-em" computer game music. High-powered, fast-paced, gets the blood pumping through the veins! I liked the little pause in intensity in the middle, leading into the "fight!" section. Maybe a few more sound effects to simulate parries and punches would be good, sprinkled throughout the tune. I enjoyed this, but I did not get the sense of dynamics that
there would be in a fight, the fits and pauses, the sudden
pounding, the rending of flesh and metal, the the flinging
of limbs ... no change of intensity until the end.
(I was trying to picture a cyborg fight.)
Musically, this is fine.
