Lyrics
Got you good
got you gone
you disappoint
when your wrong
you always laugh stab a back

I had a friend
but the friend was a lost cause
bought a ticket
but the ticket was a slow horse
yes indeed it was
it was
been shown a hand
but hand in the mind don't
understand
play it cool
i don't want to
whats mine is yours
whats mines is yours
you got the right
what did you do
why cant you stick around
you leave us cold
you got no plan of your own
why cant you see
what you had done to us
you cant leave it alone

oh why oh why
you do the things you do
when you plan
understand

Oh Why
The intro figure is great. Love the mix of distorted bass, synths, and drums. Love the opening vocal. Good mix.

oh why
very atmospheric industrial intro. really like the vocal effect on the 'i had a friend' section...and the rhythm of that section too. the whole piece feels like something that should have been on the soundtrack to 'trainspotting'.....or the ketamin equivalent.

I wonder
if they got a "Regressive Rock" genre

: - |

Maybe we could do one...

Seriously, though, I like this a lot, it really rocks, Tim

great guitar sound
dangerous and edgy

interesting overall distorted sound that works really well (everything set to 11?)

only slight critique is that the vocals seem to be clashing in the upper frequencies with some of the general reverb wash in the background - but even so, it still kind of works

great stuff

The intro is killer - incredible space
vocal effects are really cool. This is a pretty intense tune - with some excellent arrangements. The bass and piano at about two minutes are really delicate in the heavy mix. I'd say the new gear has inspired a new sound. The outro with strings is a nice touch. Great work.

Oh Why
This has a very raw sound to it that is fresh and in your face. Sounds like you had a lot to get off your chest for some reason - feel better now?
Seriously I really enjoyed this - nice job!

Dark and moody
... right from the off this has bags of atmosphere and menace. Gee it's so good to see that the creative juices weren't stifled with your enforced hiatus. Seems the MJ music restorative has borne magical fruit already.
Love those treated vocals man. Great work.

Yeah!
Man, you sure woke me up with that first drum beat! I'd go with Julian on this--has a very industrial style to it (one day, you should write a score with these kinds of sounds for that classic silent movie "Metropolis"--I am serious!) I love how you syncopate your vocals with the beat here, and reminds me very much of how one sings with swing music. In fact, I would brand this gem "industrial swing"! The lyrics perfectly complement the music--great work Tim, and thanks for bringing it to us. Hope you and the family have a really nice week! (PS: It was nice seeing you, your wife and the kids--they are adorable!)

working man....
in a progressive arty musical suit. Good to hear your signature sound Tim. This is soundtrack material for some scene late at night in the urban jungle... hot, desperate, lonely....

Cool!

Oh, WOW.... I loved the intro. It was very organic, for lack of a better description..overall, your song has great production values, as there is alot going on, and it does not get convuluted or muddy. The use of the megaphone type of vocal mix was a great idea. It places the voice in a different place than the music, and the separation works really well here. No complaints at all from me. You are the new millenium Bowie, and by all the heavens, you should be touring, and making big money....copywrite ans sell, sell sell, my friend
