Try As I May (An Ambiental Mix)

Description
This mix can be played loud!!!!! Turn the volume down before you hit play.

It's about the idea of frustration from the Experimental Ambient point of view (or frame of mind). Whichever.

I originally recorded the piece in August and then forgot about it. I've added some effects to the mix in the last two days and thought I'd upload it here for your thoughts.

There are sparklies around, in the mix, but they are not too evident (on my headphones anyway) but you may appreciate that there's a whole lot more going on than cello-type guitar/synth howls of frustration.

As always, if you want to share your thoughts I'd be happy to hear them.

I just found this
And it fits to this sad day of 9/11 misery. Listen to this all the pictures I saw flashing through my head.
But I don't think you did it for that reason, but it sure fit.

Take care

Hi Kenta.......
I agree with you on your comparison and you're correct. I didn't have 9/11 in mind when this was put together but if the shoe fits.

I hope that both you and your good lady are well.

Take care.

Hi Barbara......
Intense is the word!! I sometimes have such mood swings. Luckily most of the time no one else is around.

The angst in this piece came really from nowhere and has been rebottled and put away for a while.

Take care.

Classic Reinholt
Yes sir. Another visit to surreality. In the event that your description is a reflection of real life, I hope things will work out satisfactorily for you. Ex says "hello."

Hi Reggie.......
Real surreal. A fitting description. Yeah things will always work out alright. I don't take these periods seriously, especially if I can put the turmoil into some soundscape or other.

Say 'hi' back to Ex. Long time no (musical) hear....

Take care.

I wish
my frustration in music making could take this form ;-) Maybe it is a good sign for me that I could hear some development alternatives for this piece, e.g. going into a faster pace maybe with percussive elements and a change of front synth sound. Mind, I like the current versione too! (Except you seem to have cut it a second or two too early?!)

Take care,
Henke

Hi Henke.....
All your ideas are good but until I get more into Ableton, I'll be leaving the modifications alone. Maybe by Christmas I'll have learned enough to put something else together, based on your very good suggestions.

I'll have to relisten to the ending. I didn't notice the cut off.

Take care.
