Ah .. the old PV is back!
I appreciate your little experiments with the iPad David, but I have to say it's good to hear a new song by the "old" David. Steve and John do their parts really well here, and the result is a very groovy bit of funk-rock.
Enjoyed this a lot.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

Old PV
Thanks Neil! I know what you mean... I actually much prefer mixing real music like this, with talents like Steve and John. On the other hand, I'll never get tired of the dueling android sound either. I'm glad you enjoyed this!

Someday I hope we can hook up in person and you can show me how you make my synth piano sound like a 12 foot grand. Lovin this mix. Thx again for the invite.

Grand
Thanks for joining in, John. This tune was a tough mix, and I think your backing piano track wound up in the role of synth pad backdrop. But the lead piano really makes the song, and it's a joy to listen to. I might have more Vac mixes coming up (I'm dusting off old CDs with tracks of his playing hidden in them), and there could well be room for more of your grand piano :) playing!

This really kicks, David....
And the unusual flavor of John's piano is a neat and unexpected addition...

I like the way the various lines wind 'round each other... One of my favorite things in music.... Neat drums, bass and guitar, and another punchy mix...

Awesome
Kind of a 70's funk groove at the start, which is cool, then it evolves into some cool jazz piano licks. I really like the clarity of all the lines and the overall feel... makes you groove along with it. In fact, the piano is such a beautiful, clean sound, that it's almost too clean for the slightly grittier guitar tracks. I don't think that's a problem, though, just a random thought.

Great job here all around!

late...
getting to this, but what a wonderful ride! The various performances here are just wonderful, starting with that great piano solo near the top. All of the underlying instrumental lines are just so appealing, too: that bass, the lead guitar, and rhythm all keep this piece cookin' at high energy. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this this morning. Sorry it took me so long to get to it. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait.

very supersticious!
this has that 70's stevie wonder feel at first then when the keys come it has a totally different vibe. and if that weren't enough the guitar lead comes in and gives a little twang, excellent piece. kudos to all!!!
