Description
Einarus and I have collaborated on many things...we work well together and always have a good time. The work we have done together has produced some of the best music I have ever made with anyone. He writes great music for guitar, and it is always a big step away from what i normally get to play. I always look forward to his new pieces.

This one to me is one of his finest compositions and recordings. I sent him the complete set of guitar tracks, so he can mix his own version. It will be fun to hear what he finds in all the parts i had muted out....

Fantastic arrangement and as always killer Ziti guitar. I really like the transition from the interlude at around the 3 minute mark. The steady building intensity put me on the edge of my seat ...I would have liked to have heard a bit more dynamic bass tone here (possibly fretless), but that's my tendency as a bass player. The basslines are fat, but sound a little too midi driven to me, but as I said, this is masterful. Killer!

I am sure
ein will read your comments and consider them when he does his mix. I did not have the luxury of adjusting anything within the mix, although I did manipulate ein's tracks with ChannelStrip to brighten them up a bit.

We will have to wait and see what the young master comes up with!!

Holy Wow
I've been a fan of you and Einarus' work for some time. This song grabs your soul and takes you on a ride through the clouds. Down reveens and over mountain tops. The guitar work is gut wrenchingly beautiful and the backing strings provide perfect tension for this piece.

I see you use GB and channelstrip as well. Was wondering what your using for the drums here? Sound is great. Well thanks for sharing and I to wish I could download this piece.

I KNEW...
...that kitten would be good for you....

Did you sacrifice it to the Dark Powers as I instructed? Oh. Heh, heh. Just kidding....

It's neat when you get to cut loose in a different way, and it's true that you seem to have an affinity for Einar's composing/arranging style....

This sounds great...

Hi Fast
Ein allows me the honor of putting the stuff we do up on my NIMBIT site...so it will be downloadable there.

It was really hard matching the intensity and dynamics of ein's arrangement...I found that recording the guitars in small bits was more conducive to following the arrangement than my normal single take of the whole tune technique...I could not play the entire thing in a single sitting and do justice to the dynamics.

THANK YOU for the kindness

Emotive & commotive!
Take a bow, Fran, this is great. Always good to hear your guitar sing but this is really a pretty special, epic effort. Lots of texture, and it sounds like you're using not just some kind of keys but guitar pot-turning (or volume pedal) as well as whammy bar for a touch of the Jeff Beck technique. Even those very high touches of slide melody that come in at about 3 minutes. Is that a studied effort? If so, what next, throw away the pick?

BTW I wrote this not realizing Einarus was in this -- the "Description" section was minimized! CONGRATS to BOTH of you on a fine piece.

Very enjoyable piece
Einarus really laid down a great epic sounding piece to start with and your playing really knocked it out of the park. This may be the best piece I have heard from you to date. You moved away from the blues scale quite a bit on this one and really captured the nuances of this piece. The subtlety is what I think really made this one. Great use of volume swells and subtle whammy bar techniques reminiscent of EVH. Great work here man, enjoyed it.

I knew that this would be exceptional!
You are both top of the class in your respective fields, so why would this not be brilliant. I'm pleasantly surprised what a terrific job Einar did on the bass and drums - I don't think I've heard him do anything this rocky before. Just an all-round excellent piece of music guys - long live MJ!

Exquisitely powerful
You are indeed quite a pair to be reckoned with. Einar is such a gifted composer and pianist, and you are a great composer and guitarist... the results just keep getting better and better, as you are feeling. The guitar work really adds to this moving piece, and the gunshot at 3:18 was perfectly placed to propel this to its climax. Bravo you two!

From on high
Really nice straightforward soulful arena filling power. Love the ebb and flow in the arrangement; leaves lots of moments for rebuilding. So cool that you collab'd with Einarus, with his sweeping vision, large landscape audio-paintings. You were a spirit over the geysers, an ancient wind over the snow, calls from the mountaintops. Fab track...

This sounds exceptionally good--your contributions are amazingly complementary. Lovely sounds all around, with a mature and sizeable musical arc across the whole piece. Your guitar tones are singing! Would be really interested to hear the "other" mix too.

This leaves...
... me speechless. You carry a ton of feelings in every note you play. Your RUBY just cries her heart out over Einarus fantastic sound bed. I love it!

My only nit is the mixing of the guitar. The tone is excellent but the volume levels seem a bit off in some spots; it leveled off around 04:18 and there was the sudden volume increase around 01:02 (the guitar came too upfront). Not major, easy to fix.

Fantastic work!
