Ooh L'Amour remix

Description
After a hiatus on the road with the art shows I was finally able to record new songs and when Racquel Gordon agreed to sing back-up with Michelle, I noticed a great sound coming from them and knew I had to lay down new tracks with Racquel on my two previous recordings. She just really made the chorus come out on this one. I hope you like it.

Lyrics
VERSE 1
Welcome to the morning
The light of dawn’s upon your face
Lips pout sadly as in mourning
Turn your eyes toward me
Never doubt I’ll be
Your a’mour

VERSE 2
The sun at midday rises
Beaming down upon the gods at play
Moulding clay into a few surprises
Aphrodite’s art
Brought you to my heart
Oh L’amour

CHORUS
Ohh L’amoure’
Oh my love
Oh my Lisa
Can’t get enough
Gone through hell and back
For your love
Ohh L’amour x 2

BRIDGE
A day can last for a lifetime
A lifetime can be but a day
Cause we are living in forever
For there is no time
Yeah, there is no time
for us but now

VERSE 3
Million moonbeams light the way
To cast their spells upon the earth
Pull of love keeps gravity bayed
Broader than the skies
Beyond the stars we’ll rise
Oh L’amour

Are really splendid on this song.

Exceptionally good production.

Anthem to Love
I love when the chorus kicks in. The vocals are definitely poppin, especially when the backing singers chime in.

This song has a real "sing along" sensibility...good stuff.

The girls
really do a good job - I find that I'm starting to write for the backing vocals as much as anything :-)

Oh L'amour
Just good rocking love the harmonies and your singing is so distinct you just roll the lyrics off your tong with any effort at least that how I see it! Excellent!!!!

Very nice
Rich beautiful uplifting music. One strange thing that was bothering me in a few spots, it seemed like your singing was ever-so-slightly behind the beat... as if you should start the phrases a teeny bit earlier in order to wind up with the major syllable ON the beat (e.g. at 0:25 "Lips" should be slightly sooner, I think.) But other than those spots, the music, playing, singing, arrangement, are all rich and gorgeous, makes me want to bathe in the music.

I've missed you around here!

ttfn,
Drakonis

Hey Eduard
Great to hear from you. Lisa and I are looking very hard at getting back to SoCal by next summer, focusing on Carlsbad/La Costa.
Thanks for your astute input as always. Self recording and catching the exact beat is always a stop and go challenge, but I try not to sacrifice the flow - tempo and timing is something that's not natural to me, wish I could lose myself in the beat and have someone else edit :-)
Hope to see you again soon.

The chunky sound is something I'd not done before, but I really like it for a pop sound.

Very good song here
Wow, as luck would have it, I just got an Apogee one myself. How do you like it? i am pretty impressed with it so far. Haven't tested it extensively yet since my voice is shot at the moment.

great style to this song. Very pro sounding. did you use the apogee mic for this? If so, quite impressive!

I LOVE my Apogee
I recorded one of my new songs (not uploaded yet) with a $3500 studio mike in a professional studio with tech and rerecorded it on my own with the Apogee One and chose the homemade Apogee track hands down! Even the second set of backing vocals was done of the Apogee One - it works so well with both Logic and Garageband. One of the most convenient mikes ever as it travels so well too. It's got a great sound - good choice!
