dramatic journey...
People say I'm an accident about to happen...

Very interesting atmosphere you create here, Charles! You get a lot of mileage out of your ostinato bass pattern, and I really like the way your melody lines weave in and out of each other.

Going back to the mood/atmosphere, it is dramatic, but it has a kind of um... raunchy (?) quality too, if that makes any sense. It seems like it would be good music for film... I'm Imagining a long procession of people making their way across a plain, slowly but steadily... maybe they're on horseback...

Anyway, another fine creation of yours which I really enjoyed!

I was thinking sass
but raunchy works for me.

It was something like - I don't care if it's not pretty or even nice - I'm just doing it.
Thanks for the listen and the cool comments Clark.
Cheers,
Charlie

First the title
then the artwork, and finally the music. A lot of creativity in this. Strong rhythm and great melodies and harmonies I recognize in your works. I'm close to being able to tell this is a Bowman work just by hearing it (like recognizing wine without seeing the label).

I very much enjoy your works Charles, this one is also a great work.

Thanks Yves,
I couldn't using that picture with this title.
I love being compared to a wine without a label.
Hopefully it's not a $2 bottle.
Cheers,
Charlie

Very cinematic indeed, but not yet finished I think.I woulda increase the tempo and add a final tremendous orchestral splash.

I'm always fascinated
when composers I respect suggest how they might approach a work of mine. I'll give it some thought Harald. Thanks.

Charlie

A detective?
That fits the mood I was after quite well.
Thanks Shadow.

Great picture...
...I agree with Clark: a raunchy undertone, which I like. Some drunk ol' gunslinger ridin' into town, slumped over in the saddle, thirsting for some action. Cool...

Loving the
brass - they really make this into a very powerful piece. I am also beginning to recognise your music, they all have that slight discordant fell that I love.
Cheers

Thanks Len,
I'm glad you liked this.
As for the slight discordant quality in a lot of my work it's like spice that often brings out the flavors of the music.
Cheers,
Charlie

Enjoyable
Very original piece here. Different vibe from other pieces and that is to be commended. Almost like a cowboy film but with a little film noir thrown in.

This has defiant energy... and it is consistent in its confident swagger. A fun piece you have here, Charles.

For most of the movie,
you don't know if the main character is someone you hate to love or love to hate. He is no nonsense and unapologetic but he always gets the job done. So, he's an ex-cop, now private eye who is hired to find the young wife of rich lawyer. He finds her but helps her move further underground because the husband is a bastard. He helps put the guy in prison and gets no salary. But as he takes his next case, he is smiling. Great manipulation of mood. I'm impressed. Thanks.
