Description
Plaintive riff over a techno beat. Lots of variations! It uses the new blocks composition tool in Reason 5.

Very Cool
For a while now I have been debating whether or not to venture into Reason. I'm just so lazy & having to learn a whole new program makes me cringe. I current use Sonar 8 Producer.

This is a great piece, I like when it hits the 1:38 mark. Great stuff, cool pic too!

Thanks
If you're happy with your current set up - why change? Reason is quite unlike other DAWs so it might be too much of a learning curve!

It's worth upgrading just to mess around with the new drum design unit.

the junior smoke is back! the plaintive riff is mournfully cool, the beat is urgent and propels you forward and the guitar rocks. the ending is early hitchcock - i totally love this - it's perfect film-score material. excellent.

peaky
Really well put together and arranged. That's a really odd motif running though it...or maybe it just seems that way.
Everything is in it's right place and the slightly off key mallet vibes at the end are a great touch.
Slightly spooky and unsettling in a most positive way
Cool stuff
cheers

Although on listening back, I realised I hadn't mastered it, so it sounds a bit quiet. Ah well...

blocks..
Reason 5 lets you record blocks of sounds, lay them out then play individual lines over the top - very handy and versatile.

I couldn't stop listening, kept me intrigued. Nice way with tones here, love the guitar showing up in spots to step up the urgency. Nicely done!

Lots of
different feels and textures happening and you have mixed them together brilliantly. Great production. I'm with Julian, 'perfect film score material'.

Unscalable
Oh yeah Pete - You always make my climb a tough one.

Coming down is always easier if survival isn't a factor, but enough about your music - How 'bout that mountain?
I've been to Zermatt and eyeballed it for myself. Pretty awesome sight and an exciting new soundtrack for the tourists.

Solid riff, and I like the character it takes on with that electronic backing. Nifty.

Funky middle bit
Thoughtful is an odd word to use, but, hey, I just used it. Nice clean shapes and gorgeous noises that slot together in curious ways. And a funky middle bit.

Cool. Lovin the bass groove you have going on here. The classical breakdown was a pleasant surprise and works very well. Almost an Eastern vibe going on.
