Happy Halloween ( The Monster's Lament)

 Genre: Gothic Rock

Description
This is an homage to the great B&W horror films of the 1930's-1950's.
I kinda cranked this out in order to get it in by Halloween, so please forgive
the clips on the vox. Also there is some dead space at the end, so once ya hear
thunder it's over.

Lyrics
Spoken: "...and so I stole all the body parts and sewed them all together
like a rag doll from hell. His limbs were strong, but his brain was
unknown, how he would react I cannot tell."

The slab is rising up from the floor
I can feel the lightning heating his soul

Monster: My heart beat?
Alive again
Why?
I wish it not!
Deserve it not!
Kill you now!

Dr. Frankenstien: "Alive, it's alive! DEAR GOD IT's ALIVE!!!"

It's alive It's alive dear god it's alive
Oh what have I done?

[and so the creature breaks loose, kills "Fritz" and escapes the castle into the
night]

It's alive ,It's alive dear got it's alive!
Oh what have I done?
It's alive, It's alive...It's an abmoination!!

Dr. Frankenstien: " that night, the creature escaped into the forest..." etc.

Love the Bowie inspired vocals. Great spoken word parts that are well recorded and mixed to add authenticity. I too am digging those guitars.

Hmm
a found that from 02:50 .. the almost Richard Burton section worked really well .. and the grundgy guitars after ooozed life into this monster. PS. There is about 30s of dead space at the end ;o) .. rush job?

happy halloween
robbie this is superbly camp. did you dress up when you were recording? the theatrical delivery is inspiring.....quick - get this guy on stage before it wears off. this should have been on 'spinal tap', the movie. fantastic robbie....genius. the riffing from 3.25 on is excellent, as is the ending...although i;d have preferred it without the echo. but a tiny imperfection in amongst the perfection.

I am so glad you dropped by! I'm really pleased you enjoyed this, I was worried you may have a go at my attempt at an English accent, but you avoided the temptation.

Love that heavy bass line with the drums. Your own mini thriller. The guitar when it comes in has a unique sound i would like to have heard a bit more of that. Cool monster vibes.

I have been playing guitar from the age of 15, I grew up surrounded by good music. My parents were hippies durring the 60's and 70's, I credit them for most of my creative energy. I had fantasies of being a Rock Star at the age of 10, the first album... [see more]
