Description
On November 1st we have a custom to honor the memory of our relatives and friends that have passed away. This song was composed around that day this year and is dedicated to my dear friend Tom who died last year from a very rare form of cancer at the age of 40.

Hi Gorazd - this is truly, achingly beautiful. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend, this is a very heartfelt memorium to him. your composing is exquisite, and you have a real mastery of your orchestral instruments. thank you for this!

Thanks, Karen
for listening. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece, it's been done in a small window of free time (that's why I was away from MJ for some time) and I feel the window closing again, unfortunately.

the first song
I ever heard from macjams was the music you wrote, well the song Charles wrote to your "Water Chill", "Black Widow girl" still to date one of my very favorite pieces of music I've heard here. This is really very beautiful, I hope we all meet up one day with your friend Tom, and our loved ones, imagine the music we'd all make then.

An elegy for loved ones who've passed on
Beautiful tribute. Your custom is one that, sadly I think, we don't follow, and would be a humbling annual reminder to the rest of us, that nothing is permanent.
Thank you.

Gray November
I quite like the custom as we can stop for one day and think of all that have left. This song just "happened" on a rainy gray day. Thanks for listening to it!

This is
a painstakingly lovely piece that is full of sadness but has strength and passion. I'm so sorry for the loss but I'm glad you shared your dedication with us. Thank you.

Solemn beauty
Very beautiful, very moving. By coincidence, I am listening to this on Remembrance Day here in Canada, a day when we remember our war dead, so it is particularly appropriate to hear it today, and especially moving.

Coincidence
It's nice that you've heard it in an appropriate context. I'm now wandering off to your blog to read a very interesting post on uncertainty! So much to learn ...
