Description
When I started to write this one, it started out with a melancholy feel. But as I progressed, I realized that it wanted to be a hopeful piece. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Melancholy yes
But definitely with a touch of hope as well. Sounds pretty good to me (I'm a sucker for melancholy stuff). Think I'm gonna grab a copy for future enjoyment too. Thanks!

Take care,
Henke

oh i don't hear melancholy at all
wistfulness perhaps. like that feeling on a gorgeous summer afternoon when you are wishing for someone to share it with. this would make a perfect soundtrack piece. i love all of your instrument choices and the play between the piano and pizzicato strings. this is a really lovely piece of music.

Enjoy the
plucked strings (synth) almost sounds like a Franky Avalon - Bach feel to it. Wish I could write more but something is wrong with the internet.
God bless !

It's funny
but I can hear the minor progressions but the piece is surprisingly uplifting inspite of that. I think the change you made mid-way is great. It does sound more hopeful. The plucked strings throughout are really nice. The upbeat piano part theat kicks in at about 3:05 or so is really cool.

This is really quite enjoyable. Great work.

Great...
Lovely unfolding piece... sort of minimal, but with a lot of warm.

Are there places where you should be posting this as soundtrack music?

Love Comes Walking
I'm a sucker for plucked strings. And the simple woodwind theme above them is lovely. I like the way you build the piece up slowly and the use of dynamics is excellent. This is very well written and orchestrated.

very pretty number...
There is a nice interplay between pizz strings and the two pianos) that makes this just a very pleasant listen all the way through. You do, though, pretty much outline a harmonic structure throughout the whole piece. I wonder what would happen with this if you explored some real melodic ideas, even while alternating between just two chords for many many measures. Just a thought of how you can take this composition on a little more expansive ride somewhere. ... I love the general feeling of this just as it is, however.

Delightful
I can hear this in a movie with a young couple in Paris walking along the side of the Seine on a sunny day. I don't hear the melancholy aspect at all, just beautiful music.

The wind in my hair...
Hi Sarah. Certainly this piece is more hopeful than melancholy. I like the subtle interplay between the two pianos and the extra instrumentation that augments the flowing, positive vibe. It conjured up a picture of riding a pushbike down a country lane (without too many hills) :-) Enjoyed, thanks, Peter.
