Description
I thought it would be fun to post the track that I sent to awigze that then became Blackout. Here I started playing with the Tal Noisemaker synth and some drum loops at 177 bpm with the working title "Safe". Then I took Bryn's work in progress "Voicer" and added it to the mix with very little adjustment - it just sort of worked.
When Andy asked for a track to play with I sent him this. The result became
Blackout.

This is an open collab available to anyone who's as crazy as Andy.

Bud
You were holding out on me...... Opera! dig it!
and .. it's not 6 minutes! I realize now that we covered up a lot of the great voicers here.
LOL!

Oops - noticed the opera mistake and changed it
to open collab.
As far as what we did with Blackout I have no regrets. But I do think that Bryn's excellent track "Voicer" needs to see the light of day.

Crazy crazy
Very fun stuff hear. Can't even begin to imagine how this is done.
bud said 2461 days ago (November 24th, 2010)
This is just a bunch of loops and filters
at a high bpm. The head scratcher is how cool Bryn's track falls into the mix. Whatever isn't pounding or frantic is Bryn.

Check out Amon Tobin
Autechre, Aphex Twin and Squarepusher to name a few - those guys are masters of the faster. This is standing still compared to some of what they do.

What can I say....
I mean huh ? What ....how does this stuff work ..it should be classed as an outrage ...but it works and gets you tapping your feet and banging heads and throwing shapes..........No tune you can hum ...and yet...
