Well
congrats! My son is 14 so marriage is a ways off hopefully if he doesn't force himself into one!

This is really cool sounding... I sweet mellow tune! I could totally hear some vocals over this! Very nice work.

boy time flies by
congrates on your daughters marriage. just makes us feel older, huh?

great tune. the melody line with the classic is choice. of course the electric lead follows and picks it up quite nicely.

Feeling old? I think I felt old ten years ago and what's worse is my hands don't move like they used to.

Absolutely. Joyful. Open. I think this is an example of you doing what (I think) you do best. Just my humble O. Beautiful composition, wonderful playing. And congratulations to you and yours!

Always a pleasure to hear from you, thanks for the support. I've noticed I do tend to kick back on my songs, I leave the odd time signatures and heavy beats to you younger guys.

The chilled mood is really effective. The acoustic opening through to the JS sounding solo all sit so well, and are placed perfectly. A beautiful tune, flowing with subtle guitar playing. Congrates to you and your daughter, did she like the tune?

You know kids, this is Dad's music. She is great so I don't bother her with this. I'll be sure to toast one to you next week.

La Pavillon
I'm amazed how well the nylon string guitar works with that heavy back beat. Great choice of synth tones in the accompaniment. What guitar are you playing the distorted solo. I love the phrasing in that solo.

I really like the sound of a nylon string, listen to Steve Stevens play his against the heavier back ground. The distorted solo was done with the Ibanez JS1200.

la pavillon
really unusual sound created here, reminds me of joe satriani. then i noticed you play a js1200. i love satriani. this is a very well put together tune. lead notes were very chosen. cool lead tone.

Yesssss!
Nicely done. The acoustic guitars are awesome. The way you recorded them is killer. There is such great clarity.

Great production.

Acoustic guitars seem to cut through a mix nicely, playing them is different story.

I love...
...the building layers of guitaristry, from the nylon to the acoustic steel string to the electric...All the tones employed suit the song...

You're getting a lot of Satriani comparisons...For me, I'm hearing a bit of that sustain-for-days Robert Fripp sound in the electric lead...

This sounds good start to finish. My only thought would be, now that it's all done and lined up, how cool it would be to get a real drummer in to sort of humanize and vary the percussion underpinning...That's not a crit, 'cause it's great as is, just a possible future direction for the recording...

Thanks Ed
A real drummer would be interesting to get, it probably would put some additional life into this one. Sometimes when I am creating a drum sequence I will listen to something similar to see what direction that artist was heading and yes I did listen to a Satriani song that was pretty straight up and mechanical, so we'll blame him. Robert Fripp, interesting.

La Pavillon
a milestone in life and a fitting tribute to the occasion. Like the build in the tune > some metaphor there in the occasion but it escapes me ;-) Enjoy the day when it comes. Best to the newlyweds! I'd like to see Dad sit in with the band..hehehe

But I think I'll be out of my league with the bands. Rehearsal dinner Friday - Jazz Band; Wedding Saturday - String Quartet; Wedding reception - 11 piece local band with plenty of horns; Sunday - Broke.

simply beautiful
My wife and I eloped in 2002, really just left TX and headed somewhere. Had no idea where we were going and ended up in New Orleans, and thanks to a friend ended up staying at La Pavillon (all we had to pay was the room tax).

It was an incredible experience. This is a simply great tune!!!!
