Description
Debussy - The Sunken Cathedral was inspired by an old Breton legend. On calm mornings when the water is transparent, the accursed Cathedral of Ys, sunken in the sea, slowly emerges, bells peal and the organ plays briefly, then it sinks slowly back beneath the waves.

the title
attracted me, and I'm glad I listened. This is like the soundtrack to gothic architecture...in outer space. Nice.

Thanks
Glad you listened, too. Funny, gothic architecture in space - not Star Trek, the Enterprise never found a gothic planet - perhaps StarGate SG1? The aim was more StarGate Atlantis, I guess.

just say Ys
A very fitting tribute to Debussy, to bury him under La Mer. Nice choices of voices.

Debussy
One of my favorite composers. He was brilliant in evoking emotions with tonal color. I have La Old Grey Mer under construction. Maybe one day ...

Sunken Cathedral
Very nice work, Henry. I also recognize the piece as the one John Carpenter adapted for his Escape From New York score.

Brilliant!
Your voice choices are fabulous, especially the low end stuff and the bells. I love this piece and you reworking of it is fabulous.

Excellent sir.
