Description
Further experiment with that combo organ patch. This time, duplicate the track and option-drag a copy into the duplicate, then go into the instrument editor and change the chorus rate and depth a bit, change the phaser rate a bit. Pan the original track left about -24 and the copy right about +24. If you get enough stuff going on in the sound, maybe nobody will notice your playing. (wink)

This is a great song...
...an old favorite of mine and loved the delightfully cool vibrancy of this piece--you do marvelous work and you can take that to the bank chief (I am a huge--well, not huge actually--about medium-sized fan of organ music and you make it play just right). I'll have to send you my memories of playing boogie woogie up in the organ loft one night at church when I was a kid. Thanks again Henry! Michael

Organ boogie
My serious interest in organs came when a friend invited me to come along on a Friday night (actually Sat AM) after the United Artists Theatre in Louisville closed to work on repairing the old Wurlitzer D. The organ had sat unused since the flood of 1937, and three college guys were restoring it. All the little sheepskin bellows on the foot valves had to be replaced, so many hours were spent while watching TV or other mindless pursuits cutting wedges of leather, folding, and gluing them to slivers of wood. Electromagnets needed cleaning rust off polepieces. Broken wires to the console needed splicing. To make things more interesting, all the wires were white, insulated with a double wrap of cotton thread. The beast was repaired, and for a time there were organ concerts between films again. Alas, some manager since sold off the organ, and though the building has been restored to its former baroque glory, the Wurly is gone, no more to play "Surrey With The Fringe On Top" with horse's hooves clopping and wagon wheels rumbling and creaking from the sound effects stops.

Tulips and the Bossa Nova
This is truly one of the most unusual pieces I've ever heard on MJ. There is a definite bossa nova vibe going on--really cool. It sure sounds like a lot of work went into this, and it paid off. I think your playing is fantastic, BTW!
