Unnoticed & Contained-KTB/FEEL

Description
This song is about homeless people. The first part of the song is a bit sympathetic, the second part, just a bit cruel. So why find yourself in a similar situation? Some due to self infliction, homeless by choice, mental health or maybe plain bad luck. I can't understand... I'm not in their shoes... that is if they have any. It hurts me most when I see the children. There are many programs that strive to help, a couple that quickly come to mind... Salvation Army and a local one here in my area, Mission Arlington. So...if you got some extra change? drop it on in.

A special thanks to John Libby (KTB) for laying some awsome piano and keys.

Lyrics
Walking in circles
No where to go
Reaching the same place
Following your soul
Making no difference
Taking no mind
Your just discouraged
And wasting all your time
Just following no one
Your innocence is asking for the truth...

Cheating your feelings
Hiding your face
It's self destruction
It'll bring you to your fate
Has no ambition
Showing no pain
Tears are the dry ones
Unnoticed and Contained
Just following no one
Your innocence is asking for the truth...

And then the rapping part....

WOW...
... what a great pair you two?! Your parts complement each other VERY well. Sad story, true words. I love the change in this song; it sounds like a progressive rocker to me. Fine keys from KTB and you never cease to amaze me with your guitars/vocals, FEEL. Happy NEW YEAR and may this year see less homelessness...

Thanks for dropping by and taking a listen. I was going to go with funk but after Libby's reaction I think your right... Progressive fits better. Love your last tune.

Very fine!
Great blend of instruments and vox. Has that big time studio production feel. The song gets across the mix of attitudes and reactions to homeless and panhandlers. Taking a copy. Thanks.

John & John
....accolades for the extremely fine work given here. There was a (fortunately) brief period of my life that makes listening to this a painful reminder of that time, but also reminded me how fortunate I am now. My partner and I both do volunteer work at a shelter for homeless youths and with your consent, I would like them to hear this, so thank you for allowing the download! You spoke eloquently here for those "out and about" and on the streets. Outstanding performances from you both and the arrangement (special nod!) and mix were superb. Thanks again, Michael

Of course
I would be honored. I have a family member that is or was homeless by choice. I keep in touch with him now but for quite sometime we didn't know where he was or how he was doing. Because of people like you who give of their time, it afforded him a shelter at times, encouragement and food to eat. Thanks for dropping by and commenting.

Some seriously nice tuneage here. Guitars & keys provide some nice textures. Strong lyric on a topic swept under the rug all too often. That wah is great. I agree with Andrew on the Kansas reference - kind of like "Wayward Son".

So Sad
I have given my last dollar to a homeless person many times. It's such a terrible shame that homelessness even exists in America. Maybe the 240 million dollar lottery should go towards building more shelters.

Great tune guys! Vocals, lyrics & music are top notch!

Excellent performances
and worthy cause: lots of passion and the change up is very reflective of that difficulty we all feel I'm sure, in that thought of "why don't/can't they help themselves more?". I think, bottom line is: if it still exists, what is done, admirable as it is, is still sadly, not enough.

I love your trademark vocal sound John - very original and enjoyable. Top instrumentally of course with Mr Libby on keys channeling Rick Wakeman (is there anyone you can't channel JL?).

Been a long time a brewin'

Home brew is making the scene again! Love it. This is quite a nice piece. Analytical and empathetic to the plight of the homeless. I see them often roaming about downtown St. Paul and wonder what I should do to help. Thanks for doing this, John. Light a light in the dark darkness.

the intro sounded very distorted and not mixed very well(unless you intended it that way then disregard) but then it cleaned up and everything was separated.a very different version the keys are a nice touch though.i love the ending.
