Epic Soundtrack
Very nicely done! Ominous horn melodies laid over a Bolero-esque ostinato.I think the second section (the string section) could have a bit of a stronger thematic melody to it to provide some contrast and "story" to the piece. But otherwise, a nice cinematic study.

Thank you
I thought the horn section came out nicely myself as "ominous" was what I was going for there. As this was meant to be a soundtrack piece there is supposed to be a visual as well as the music. The ascent as I pictured it while composing the piece was sort of like the part in "The 13th warrior'when you see the "worm" working it's way down the mountain but in reverse.I pictured an ascent up the mountain of mist. When the top is reached the music changes as the scenery changes and the anticipation is finalized on what you see. ( you can let your own imagination decide what that is)I didn't want music here to detract from this and that is why it was not "stronger".

Mighty
This piece certainly has the big sound. Too short for my ears, it feels like there are a few movement to compliment this part.

Love it and wish I could download :(

Thank you
I am glad you enjoyed it.The length of the piece was determined by the time frame I pictured it for.I will see if I can make it available for downloading

Thanks a million
Ominous and eerie with a lot of feeling was what I was going for. By the way I will definately check out your new piece as I see what it is.This is a lovely hymn that just doesn't get enough play.Actually I myself was working on this very piece for the holidays as a collaboration with a young 14 year old vocalist from the Uk I have been aquainted with.He loves to do covers of Libera music (whom I also love). That kind of hasn't been finished as of yet. Perhaps soon. Thanks again- John

Pure
Pure
The sound quality and ideas of this music are excellent.
Having been a trombonist most of my life and I can honestly
say that this horn sound is real fine. Thanks for sharing!

Ascent..
perhaps after descent. Some foreboding of malice here. Definitely would be a great soundtrack for a murder mystery or a ghostly disappearance movie.
Amazing that you can create such feeling with your music. Thank you.

Thanks ...
foreboding of malice... yes. Picture the ascent of some kind of warrior party up the mountain of mist to what surely waits at the top( some sort of evil or malice). That's what I saw in my mind anyway. The rest is left to imagination!
