Description
This mix is a secondary piece completed at the time of my earlier piece, A Ray of Sunshine, and is more sonorous, serious and has no percussion, just the beat of the tune.

What more can I say about the piece? It's dramatic, as it should be. It seems to coinside with my hating of the winter months and the lack of light. Sometimes I can create soundscapes and sometimes not around this time of year. This last couple of months has seen me continue to compose but nothing airy or light comes to light. Hmmmmm.

I hope to be able to upload a piece completed with my own synth design in the the next few weeks. It's a project that I've been working on since the end of November 2010. I'm getting there, slowly.

Ray of Hope
R56, I always enjoy listening to your posts, even though I have no idea as a musician to even try to emulate such a style. Very nicely done and as always your style shows through.

No hope
for sun here either. This is a barren piece, and I can imagine hearing this as the bed sheets are pulled over my head, waiting for the month of April.

heavy
gripping intro...really dig that oscillating "reverby" synth. you have done a fine job of relating your sentiments of winter. one can sense a bleak and overbearing presence, feeling lost in a cold fog, a yearning for light and warmth. keep on keepin' on:) this is great stuff!!

You get great sounds
out of those things you list (foreign to me as I'm a Mac user), but the ray is the news that you've built your own synth. Look forward to hearing that.
