Thanks and glad to see your playing the guitar in your last tune, nice sounds! But your piano was brilliant and to play the guitar amazing!

A well written instrumental track that holds up nicely all on its own. It captures the atmosphere of the film perfectly. Your performance is spot on. What I really love is the quality of the recording and the tone of the instrument. At times it has the midrange of a dobro. I'd love to know how you recorded this (mic, mic placement, what kind of guitar, etc.).

Thanks
I try to get close but try to get the mic pointed to the up part of the body of the guitar by the neck. I use a 451 mic (AKG) Stick mic. I play a Santa Cruz Acoustic OM/PW. I have a boom for the mic so I can really pick and choose the angle of the mic. It is amazing how just one inch can make a difference. I try to get a way from a tinny sound. When always want a lower end sound, especially because my guitar is a smaller guitar and is not a dreadnaught. So placing the mic sound is important. But this mic is not a cheap one (at least at the time :) One thing I think that makes a TON of difference is having medium gauge strings on, plus they are newer (that is one key issue that is important as well.)
For me and I think fingerstyle guitar in general loses depth when you go with medium lights and most certainly lights. At least these are things that I really like to take note on.

Thanks for asking ab!

Clear and crisp
You play so well... you make it seem effortless, but my fingers would get tangled up in the strings. This sounds perfect.

Yet another reason to be a fan.
Bill, it's so great to hear your voice in this instrumental, with those heavy highs, picked so cleanly and recorded so clearly. I don't know what more to say beyond the fact that I'll be continuing my years-long "fanship" of your music.
