Description
(This is my second version. Similar to the first, but a few piano licks are improved, a wrong note in the vocal is fixed, and the tag line is changed, at the school board's request. See my first try at http://www.macjams.com/song/66062)

I teach elementary music. A school board member asked me to record a ditty to be placed on our "Vote Yes On The Referendum" web site. Like many schools, we have a funding problem, and we may have to do away with elementary art, music, and PE. Unless our referendum passes on May 3, however. If so, I will have my job for awhile longer, Lord willing.

Piano controller is my trusty Yamaha P-120. Mic is Zoom H2. Piano sounds are Synthogy Ivory Bright Concert Grand (Steinway). Drum sounds are various loops. All running thru GB '09. 2009 iMac.

Art, Music and PE
sounds like a modern Trivium. Neverendum is a little cheesy but in the fight against the beancounters and the jocks (usually) you do what you gotta do, right? The refrain is catchy though: it'll be in my head for a while. Good luck.

Godspeed
This would be a fun tune if the subject matter wasn't so depressing. I hope your referendum passes!

Damn good!
Agree with the sentiments and the playing is way hip for a "ditty". Heard Mac Rebbenack and Steely Dan in the piano. Those are my two favorite on the piano by the way.
