Description
Hello again....

This song comes from the last SCW disc I released. It is based on a series of dreams that I have had. Make of it what you will. All sounds performed all by my lonesome. Enjoy.

Lyrics
It is starting to sway
The spinners fade okay
Doncaster ripped away

What is that light?
Is that tonight's mission??
I close my eyes and the world explodes

Then the screaming beckons
Radioactive orphans

The fires come
So wake me up
The flash and bang
God gave me no spade

I won't know that I'm dreaming
Until I come to again
Whenever that may be

Onto the horizon I see them drop
I can hear the kill
I can't make it stop
And all those looks of disbelief like they didn't know
What did you think they were for?
Made to lay innocence low
But to me this scene has become the old tare
The burn is in my mouth
I smell it in the air
I see the wrath beat deep down in suburban skin
The general's decided you will pay for your sins
I've seen this go down from many vantage points
They bankroll the buildup, then blow the joint
I must remind myself for when I open my eyes
To tell you "Have no fear. The end is a huge surprise."

Uncomfortably Numbed?
Where's Slim Pickens when you really need him, eh?

Some dreams, Ian. Better stop eating just before bedtime. LOL

Appropriately spacey mix here with a deep, dark sound. Always an interesting trip with your work. ;)

shoegazing greatness!
this starts out all swirly and shoegazey then gets quite relentless at the end. Brilliant bass playing, that tone and the way it lifts the sound is excellent. Really enjoyed that! What part did Reason play - being an avid Propellerhead myself!

synths
Synths are being generated from Reason. Though they are not really in the forefront. They just provide some underlying tension for the context of this song. Thanks for taking the time!

Ian,
You and Brian really rock the house. I can hear some of those ground breaking influences carrying forward here. I think you guys achieve a really unique metal sound. I am listening on phones now and I can't hear the vocals clearly. The singing seems really solid. Don't hide it. That would be my only critique. I'll listen on the heavy monitors later and see if it comes out different. Keep it up!

vocals
were meant to be buried. Not as a means to hide my voice but as a texture to fit the context of the song. For more of a foggy sound if you will.

Man this is one WILD RIDE! Very cool and hip sounding. My only critique - bring up the vocals - they sound a bit buried. Totally enjoyed - thanks!

thanks!
But I probably won't mess with a remix since it's already on iTunes and all that good stuff.... and they were suppose to be a bit buried to provide and audible context for the story behind the tune.

Thanks man!
I am pleased with the fact that it is only one guitar track, albeit a stereo track but it is only one. Kinda rare for me as I am known for liking the overdub to death wall of sound guitar thing. But lately I have been attempting to get the biggest sound I can with one guitar.
