Description
This is just something I've been playing with. It's not even a complete song, more like a Piano Bass & Drums groove. It's short but like I said it's not finished.

Feedback appreciated

I like what I hear
This surely has potential!
I could hear a melody here...
And you should work on the timing
I dig the chords

Hi Chet
it's certainly got potential! I agree with Cees that a little work on the timing would tighten things up a bit. After that you can think about adding vocals or some other instrument to play a melody over the top. Or, you could open it up for open collaboration and see what you get! great to have you aboard!

Thank you Magnatone
It's funny, when I was getting ready to post this I had never really noticed the timing errors in it. With you and KCs both pointing them out, they stand out like a sore thumb. I guess I need to be paying more attention to details from now on, since I hope to start becoming more active musically.

I think I'm going to use this as a learning tool and see if I can make it better and more complete, while stretching myself out a bit. Maybe after I have learned more and fixed the problems, I could repost it as an open collaboration, as you suggest. I think that I would learn a lot from that experience as well.

Thanks to both you and KCs for taking time to offer your thoughtful suggestion, I'm learning already.

Thank you jd
That is indeed the case. I've found some very warm, friendly people here since I have finally been able to start taking part.

I have a few songs in the hopper that I want to post, but none of them are really done yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get some progress made on finishing them up, and post one in the near future. It can be hard to find the time to work on my music sometimes with life going on around me.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words, jd

Thank you
Yeah, that piano is straight out of the Cantina, Storm Troopers and all. Either that or it's so bad it could be called lethal. lol

Thanks for giving me a chuckle today, and a reason to keep trying harder.
