Gates Return (Last of the Dogmen)

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
Based on the movie "Last of Dogmen", it is the one of the best cowboy movies that i've ever seen. I remember I had to go do something important and couldn't get back to the movie and see the end of it. But I finally did and it was a joy. The movie was playing on a Saturday and I finally got to see the ending of it. I highly recommend it if you are a cowboy movie fan!

Lewis Gates is the cowboy hero and the Barbra Hershey plays the professor. Great indian scenes in there too of course!

Haven't caught the film, but if it provided this wonderful inspiration I think its a must. Nicely played.

Yeehaw!
What I particularly like in your playing on this one is how you mix single (and multiple) plucked strings in with the chordings. It makes for a rich sound.

That - and the gusto you put into the performance.

Ride 'em, Cowboy!

This
is terrific. It was a real pleasure listening to your dynamic playing. Expansive, wide open feel as if you're playing about a lush valley bordered by mountains and a wide river. Thanks.

What a blast ! !
That guitar has never been worked so hard and so well in my humble opinion...the tonal varieties, harmonics and pitches are superb and thenthere is the way the tune shifts gears ....great guns.

I really don't know....
...how you write so many of these, Bill, and I certainly can't imagine how you remember them all....

This has your trademark steady, swinging time and richly recorded acoustic with plenty of wood and bronze in the sound.... Just enough bite... Sonorous but not so smooth it loses its spark...

Sweet Tone Bill
Very nice tone out of that guitar Bill. What mics are you using? Very nice finger picking. Have to watch the movie now.

So Good!
This is so great. Not only your usual perfection when it comes to running the strings but obvious inspiration from the movie to take your playing to new places. The classic bass runs to quick chord strums along with your impeccable finger picking take this one to a truly inspirational place.
