Description
Einar shared his song "Memories" a few weeks ago. I liked it quite a bit. It really suited my mood at the time and I chatted with him about it, asking if he would mind if I added a classical guitar part to it. He agreed and sent me his logic project file (luckily we both use logic pro).

I added a classical guitar and accordion part to it. I recently saw Al Di Meola (at Yoshi's in Oakland) and his world symphony band which prominently features an amazing accordion player. I love mix of classical guitar and accordion and thought I'd give it a try with Eanar's piece.

Thanks for listening.

-- Steve

I like large parts of this song. But I'm wondering: are all those parallel fourths deliberate? They jar a bit, for me.

I love
the guitar in this. It's so perfect and idyllic. And then the accordion comes in and everything swells so nicely. Fantastic.

What
an unusual choice: accordion. There were times where I stopped short on a note....I don't know if that is what Vic is referring to. Regardless of what I can't describe, the piece has a strength and is a very compelling listen. Thanks.

layered
and elegant.... an odd thing though, my wife is singing to our cat right now. Great combination in all of the elements.

Two for one
I like how you blended your guitar with the piano. The accordion added a cool dimension and gave it a more folky feel.

Thanks for the download :)

I can't help it, but every time I hear the accordion I think of Paris. Accordions just sound like Paris, that's all there is to it. Great addition to a beautiful piece. This transcends from Paris to a coronation march in the UK. Just thinking in images tonight I guess... great guitar work.

very good... very creative...
you've changed the tragectory of the song... as this mood hit you... you're a very creative musician... not bad for a "computer geek"

my one complaint... can't you at least stay away from acoustic guitar.... leave me one genre...

hoot

nice one Steve... and Ein

You can't go wrong teaming up with Einar! I like the duet beginning with your nylon string and Einar's piano. The arrangement builds nicely.

Well, now you're all over the map. Is there anything you can't do? Harpsichord next, I suppose. Bagpipes. Well, that's a helluva choice --- accordion. Amazing that it's works so nicely. Very good, gents.

Good movement in this
I like how this piece builds in intensity. The guitar and accordian works in my opinion. Is this you also doing the tasty lead work? A good listen, thanks!

The build
I dig the build in this piece. It creeps up on you then explodes. Accordion is a little understood instrument. I like how you used it.
