Lyrics
I've got deep regrets for what I have done
I've got deep regrets for what I have done
But I know someday my race will be run

Oh the thoughts never stop, they go round and round
Oh the thoughts never stop, they go round and round
But I know someday peace will be found

Sometimes I think there's no way out of these blues
Sometimes I think there's no way out of these blues
Life brings you to a crossroads and then you choose

And is there forgiveness on the other side
And is there forgiveness on the other side
A bright shining light that shows the good inside

I've got deep regrets for what I have done
I've got deep regrets for what I have done
But I know someday my race will be run

Wow
Great tone in your wonderful bluesy voice. Nice guitar phrasing.
Not sure if i"ve every heard anybody on MJ sing the blues like you do Tom.
This to me is one of the best blues I've heard here at MJ that seems to be straight to the point and tells it like it is. Way to Go !

Thanks Bill
Been wasting a lot of time thinking about the past. You know the ole if I had it to do over I would do it a lot different thing which I guess is what this song is about. Now if the Bush's, Clinton's, Obama and all of those Senators and Congressmen would just write a similar song and mean it. Yeah, right when not only do pigs fly but they defecate shiny pieces of gold down upon the populance.

Yes, a universal lanquage with as many sub-genres as music in general it seems. I love your take on the blues. Just had a listen and it was a delight!

Yikes, having regrets aren't good. However, I have no regret listening to this. Very nice tune, great lyrics & vocals!

This is going round and round
in my head still, even though I first listened to it yesterday! Very good work on this in your customary fashion Tom. I always enjoy hearing you perform--your singing, your playing and song writing skills are just tops in my book. Thanks for doing this up and for sharing it. You take care now! Michael

My vocals will never equal yours but I do try. This one was a little heavy but I will try and lighten up some on the next one. Well at least as light as I can get anyway.

This one was actually not live but recorded a track at a time by me. It does have a live sound though and is only two tracks. I guess I was a little late for that contest. Vocal and rhythm on one track and lead on a second.

Deep Regrets
Great reflective lyrics! Sung with passion! I love the "right there in the room with you vibe!" Reminded me of Mark Collie singing "In Time" from The Punisher Soundtrack!
