Description
This is a song I wrote and recorded in 2006. There are probably level and production issues!! At the time I was ina a rut and was getting guitar/ sonwriting lessons and inspirationfrom Paul Banks, the lead guitarist with 90's band Shed Seven. I had written a guitar piece and took it to Paul. Between us we fiddled with it and then I wrote the lyrics. Seem to be relevant still today. Hope you like it.

Lyrics
THE FRAME GRAHAME HICKS

Did you ever think that things were going wrong?
Did you ever think you couldn’t put them right?
Did you ever feel that you alone were small?
Did you ever feel too small to join the fight?

I believe that you are strong
You are the glue
You are the bond
The world’s a picture you’re the frame
And without you, the world would be insane
Without you, the world would be insane

Do you believe the world should live in peace?
Trust me when I say you’re not alone
Do you believe we shouldn’t fear our streets?
We shouldn’t fear to walk our own paths home
We shouldn’t fear to walk our own paths home

I believe that we are strong
Joined together, we can be one
The world’s a picture we’re the frame
And without us, the world will go insane
And without us, the world will go insane

Thanks
Thanks Andrew. I'm not even sure if I know what those chords are called!! I just wrote a piece of music by ear and that was what came out.

Not sure I've heard this before. Cool mellow tune, best vocal yet, keep it simple works. Nice one

Quality vocals
Hi Grahame. Really like your vocals on this and the guitar lessons obviously paid off. Nice feel to the song. Levels seem OK to me. Well done. Take care, Peter.

Hi Peter
Hi Peter, Thanks for that. Paul Banks is an unsung genius. Probably greatly under rated. He has a tremendous ear and great inventiveness. But then he is a pro!!

hi grahame
cool riff.....thought it might be obvious....but it WASN'T...cool

you manage to sound like Oasis on this....don't know how you feel about that lol....but i meant it as a compliment.

really like the riffs throughout....and the effect on the vocal. percussion a bit too forward and tinny for my liking. there are plenty of drummers on here who could really lift this to a new level. have you done any collabs yet? it took me a year to ask. really glad i did.

anyway, back to the track - cool track.

Nice guitar
Liked the picking on this one, and together with the quality of your voice it lifts the song above the ordinary.

Much enjoyed.
