Description
Clearly a couple things went wrong, but that why it's marked experimental.

My new toy is an octave divider pedal, with together with my RC-50 allowed me to do this whole track in one take, no dubs, no edits. Some reverb and compression in the mastering process.

Nice mix
Boss rc50? One recorder with a continuous loop? Very cool mix of tech from different eras.

Saturday loop
I really like how the octave pedal transforms the recorder into organ pedals. Vic...you know if you put a rotary effect in the signal chain you could use a single recorder to emulate an organ.

I love the flow of this piece. The electronics never obscure the acoustic beauty of the instrument.

Organ
The RC-50 does not have effect send/returns on the loops, so I'm limited to putting effects on the input. I will pick up a multi-effects and experiment with it, but I fear it may become a mess.

very good
and very reminiscent (tonally at least) of some of the stuff i have heard from bud

trying to imagine your process - how you set things up to do this in one take

please keep doing the experiments

octave divider pedal - trying to get my head around that - while you're looping yourself - you're doing some cool things lately vic!

too many pedals
I had to redo this track a couple of times because I was stomping on the wrong pedal, or forgetting to switch off the octaver. This is quickly getting out of hand, and there are a couple more effects I want to get in the chain.....

Cool
You did this in one take, on one track? Not sure how the pedal works, but what you've produced sounds pretty cool. Some synths scattered in the background would be interesting to play around with.

one take
That's the fun of a looper pedal. You can stack lots of sounds.

Ultimately I'll work at combining other instruments, but for now I'm just learning how far I can take looping stuff all by myself.

Saturday Loop
Some of those tone combinations make my arm hair stand on end. It's interesting to listen to the evolution of your music as each new toy is added to your chain. Very interesting.

nice!
This has great movement in it, very calming texture juxtaposed against that bubbly melodic work. Thanks for the listen!

Loop
A trance-inducing listen, although it sounds like you yourself had to be pretty much aware of what you were doing to make the music. I think the first part without the staccato works better. But, sure, it's an experiment. And a very cool one, at that. The bass adds a lot.

ancient future
Renaissance and Baroque sounds with 21st century compositional techniques. I was also reminded of Japanese shakuhachi music. Fantastic stuff.

An emsemble!
I confess confusion here. Is this a single recorder performance looped in real-time into all these sounds or one track at a time? Its seems to go together well for the most part so if that was all real-time, all the more impressive!

Real time
I just started playing, and a couple of minutes later I had this piece. Yeah, it requires you to keep your wits together.

Trying...
...to catch up, Vic... This was cool enough just having the looping going on, but I really liked hearing that low stuff come in... I imagine, rightly or wrongly, that the purity of the recorder tone lends itself to the octave pedal... Sounds great, and interesting...
