Lyrics
We spent many a night at your house
As often we slept at mine
Remember searching through the alleys
See where to hide and what we'd find

We shared each other's special secrets
Felt each other's happiness and pain
There were always games that we invented
So we could still play even if it rained

Those days are gone and it's a sad thing
I wish it could be like before
Tell me if you know what's the reason
We can't be best friends anymore

Half the toys we lost in your bedroom
Your bike and football laying in my yard
And then there were the family vacations
Separation sure was hard

Through the years I've tried to find you
And even been successful now and then
Time just slips away with a part of me
And I no longer have my friend

Those days are gone and it's a sad thing
I wish it could be like before
Tell me if you know what's the reason
We can't be best friends anymore

It's been probably a decade
since we did this song. I don't remember playing harmonica under every verse. I have to look for another version of this. I know about half of those we dropped out... Ah well I need a secretary.

Friends
is Bill alias 'pharmakeus'? that voice sounds familiar. When you said you played harmonica, you *really* mean you played harmonica (remember i was fooled before)? If so, didn't know about that talent. Bobby appears to write damned good tunes, anywhere i can hear others? You know how to pick em.

Actually Sam I've played harmonica
Longer than any other instrument. I've played harmonica since about the age of 7. My Dad used to play harmonica, so I picked it up emulating him. Mostly he played hymns and old southern folk.

Nice tune and lyrics. Like the simplicity of it. Is that one of those double reed harps? Enjoyed.

I believe I added some chorus to it.
Probably was a horner. I don't usually play those bigger harps. The smaller blues harps that you can cup in your hand.

Relaxed and Serene
LOVE the harmonica! From the opening chords, I was struck by how much this reminds me of James Taylor--a good thing, obviously. The song puts the listener in a relaxed and serene mood, even though the subject matter is really poignant. From the very beginning, I really liked the broken guitar chords as well--it gives the song a lot of forward motion.

This picture reminds me of Bamdad!
He is my most good friend and he is angry at Farhang for posting thread about his lover but I hope he forgive me soon, your music is very good, our music is not very good, we try very hard to make hard music!

Lovely feel
Easy to listen to, even though the lyrics are actually quite sad. Feels more like a gentle, rather tender regret. Goes by like a dreamy, pleasant stream.

Enjoyed. Thank you.

You're getting me at just the right time. I'm listening to a lot of folk music and spending a lot of quiet time strumming an acoustic guitar. This track is sweet. Smooth mix! Very well produced!

BFF
What a great song. I miss my best friend so much, never thought we'd eventually drift apart after so many years. Love these lyrics, they're bittersweet. Lovely vocals, and the band sounds terrific. Great stuff guys!

Bittersweet
Bittersweet song that has a simple message at it's heart. Nice performances by all concerned and the mix/master is crisp. The harmonica adds the requisite melancholy, Freddy. Well done, Peter.

Now that's mellow! I didn't know you played harmonica Fred - is there nothing you can't do? Real nice mix, as I'd of course expect, but worth saying. Lyrics are from the heart and the hip (if that makes sense) and very genuinely performed. Nice to hear you on backing vox too! Fantastic tune mate.
