Description
A little about me: One of my other hobbies is collective creative writing. I am a member of an online forum in which members collectively write fiction, kind of like the collaborations that go on at Macjams. Anyways, long story short, this is a going to be a 5 or 6 part series based on one of those stories. The basic plot is about these two girls who are connected by psychic power, and one must help the other escape a cult that is holding her captive.

Hope you enjoy part one of Intertwined!

Lyrics
Verse one

Into the night they run away.
Into the darkness is their only way
Fear is with them every step
Still running from the life they left.
A pocket full of hope is worth a life time of pain.

Chorus

We broke their wings and shattered dreamss
We can't repent these awful things
We took them and we broke them good
We tortured, maimed and killed in hoods

Eyes of red
We speak commandments
Innocents! We cannot stand it
We bring fear by any means
Left to die, but feeling clean

Fire brimstone, No Regret
Babe, you ain't seen nothin' yet!
Stoke the embers, burn em up
Set the fires, back to front.

This is littlle more than chaos
Systematic! Heaven is lost
Truth be told We took their souls
Old and wrinkled! twelve years old!

Verse 2
A couple souls caught in the mix
God help them if they loose their wits
So far apart, still, hand in hand
Until the day they die.

CHORUS

Verse 3

Into the night they ran away
Now in the darkness they must stay
Fear is nothing without breath
They've got to take that final step
Living life like ghosts in hell til now
Their story begins.

Cool visuals. Nice job on the mix.It might be my speakers at work but maybe the cowbell sound could be pulled back in the mix bit, I'll check it out at home with phones on. Great guitar sound. Great vocals and I like the writing.

Thanks for the listen and input. I appreciate it. Yeah, definitely gonna pull the cowbell back. Now that I have stepped away from the song for a few days I can really hear certain things that I want to change.

Thanks again

The Escape
Super cool concept. I visualized the story as I listened. I agree with gadzooks that the cowbell might be a little too much. I also think the 1st vocal section of the 1st verse could come up a little. Overall sounded good to me. Another cool one from Counter Harmony. Im fan!!

Thanks man!

Yes, gonna play with the vocals a bit. I was only really happy with the first verse, but wanted some MJ input before I finalized them. Glad you got the the story.

Thanks again for the support. It means a lot.

Has an Eminem feeling to it. Like if Eminem and Pink Floyd and Alex Harvey had kids. Agree about the cowbell, probably less is better. The meter of the rap is excellent, great intonation and delivery. Very believable and dramatic - skirting the danger of cheesiness. Well done.

Hahah, nice comparison. I love Roger Waters, I'm a mega fan of his and pink floyd while he was with them. Thank god, i was worried the chorus would come off as a little too much, and cheesy, it means a lot you said that. Thankyouthankyouthankyou.

I like the riffs and the rap works very well against them!

Wowzers
What a visual you gave, and I am a very visual person, so I can certainly appreciate this. I can tell a lot of work went into this production. Very creative both lyrically & musically. Definitely looking forward to your other pieces.

epic
you know when the guitar comes in with the single line run, it would make it sound crazy if you harmonized with the 5th notes
