Description
This is one of the first songs I wrote when I (sorta) broke into the Ad industry. This was a demo for a one minute TV ad that never sold. Maybe it needs more 'real' instruments? Only my trumpet is live.

your trumpet sounds great! i suppose in the best of all worlds, all instruments would be real, but realistically, if you can do even one real instrument, that's great. what software are you getting your orchestral instruments from? it actually sounds very good to me, but of course there's always tweaking and modifying that can improve the sound. my orchestrations are all midi-instruments, although the piano parts are always played - but still, played through a midi-keyboard with software that helps it sound real. anyway - this is great work steve - i loved your trumpet work on that collab with julian - love it here - you're good at a lot of things!

Thanks magnatone...
The strings are Native Instruments Gold library. I'd like to try something with voice (someone else singing) but I have a problem with lyrics.

hey steve. surprised to hear one your original arrangements! i second the real instruments. for some reason, it just don't like midi guitars. they seem to "cartoonify" a song to me. but the strings sounded good--and of course, your live trumpet. looking forward to a full tune.

yo steve....ha....i can see product placement all over this - lol. it's a homage to advertising...the work of the devil....and you are satan....with a trumpet. agree with the others...real-good....midi-not so. have you written any melodies for trumpet alone.....that other musicians could build stuff around?

a "full tune"
I'd love to write something more substantial. It would have to be an instrumental only because I would be terrible at lyrics. Now that summer is here, I may have some more time to try something with someone. JS... was that an offer?

Catchy title Steve!
Man you know you can come to me for drums (or any instrument for that matter). Nice catchy piece Steve. Just put your projects on the list at F-Jam and I'll throw ideas at you. No pressure to use them... Tons of talent from you man! Julian or Sam would sing on your stuff at the drop of a hat Steve. I'm glad to see you here. Now come by the collab site sometime too.

Excellent work here
Catchy little tune, simple and upbeat... yes, the backing instruments sound sort of MIDI, but part of it is because they're settled in with a really expressive live trumpet, very well played BTW. Nice recording and melding of the instruments together. Great trumpet work! I look forward to your music and thoughts and ideas here.
