Description
Exercise for the one-synth-challenge: http://www.macjams.com/artist/OneSynthChallenge

This was indeed a challenge, attempting to extract all the necessary elements from a single synthesizer, however, TAL seemed to be up to the challenge. Here is my slow tango entry, 14 tracks, all TAL, all stock presets. I chose on a whim to write this and learn TAL and upload in one afternoon. Now I need a nap!

Yes, there is a Perris, California, but you probably don't want to visit.

Nice! This synth challenge sounds like fun. I should have got in on the fun. Now what exactly is a synth and how many strings does it have?

Last Talgo
(I have to admit, "Talgo" sounds like a detergent for use in dishwasherd...okay, that said): Very good job considering the time frame spent on this Eduard! However, I'm not quite exactly sure if this qualifies as a tango! But a tango by any another name means music and you put out a good one! Michael

Talgo: n; Alien Laundry Dance
The Talgo is only vaguely related to the Tango... first of all it is in 6/8 time, instead of 2/4, and is therefore more suited to the 6-legged creatures from Talgomania. But I knew that eventually some sharp-eyed moe would spot the difference, and call me on it... so please realize that it was simply my cheap attempt at hammering the letters "TAL" into something, even if it is a rose with some other name. :-)

VersaTALe synth
Cool synth that seems to do pretty much what you TAL it to do?! Drums, soundscape, melody... But how complex can each sound be? Someone (Bill?) used more than 40 tracks on his piece and you use 14 tracks here. Maybe some are doubled for stereo effects etc but still, I am not sure I(!) could handle all those tracks. (As opposed to use a few complex sounds which tend to do the job pretty much by themselves.)

So, well done, to learn, compose and upload such a sweet liTAL piece in just a few hours.

Take care,
Henke

Ahem
Tangos do not come in 6/8 variety.

In fact, it has that swirling waltz quality, especially considering the somewhat theatre-organ like synth sound.

But it's enjoyable no matter what. Glad to see you found the time to join the challenge.

Coolness
Reminds me of a twisted carnival for some reason, I love it. I see the scenario in my head, how macabre. Wish it was longer, shoot! Synthy-goodness yep yep!

Need more input!
As Johnny5 would say. Your sponge style learning is impressive. If robots could dance this would be the song of choice. I would like to see a Dyson lead a Hoover round the floor to this...
Bravo

i love that you did a tango. i mean a TALgo. this is really cool, nice melodies and the sounds you picked are very appropriate. sometimes that synth gets some almost moog sounds and I love what you did with it.

I don't know what
TAL is, at all. So, it's not a tango. It is a neat piece of music. It shows off your TALent making something and learning something at the same time, a very tall order. You are terrific, cuz. I liked it. (But I do feel dumb.) Thanks.
