Vortex (An Ambient Drone Mix)

This is an experiment in kind. I'm trying to alter the formula that I generally use (alright always use) for Ambient soundscapes. The difference is in the movement of the piece and the EQ used. I've tried to be specific about what I want to come through and so it's had more 'treatment' after the track was finally put together.

The 'insistance' of the piece gives it, to me, the movement and that movement could be heard as forboding, maelstrom-ic in temperament. There's lots going on and there were seven instances of Sylenth taking part along with an instance of Serenity Pro. Keep the volume down to hear the subtleties. Otherwise the mush level increases and your brain could explode. It's a sonic brain liquidiser and lasts over ten minutes, if you will.

You know I love to fly away in space with your tunes and this is perfect for that.
So I put my headphones on close my eyes and dream away, nicely done, thanks.

Take care

Hi Kenta.....
It's great to hear that you still enjoy my soundscapes. I do try to make them so that listeners can float off whilst they are listening.

Take care.

Hi Henke....
Yes. It's a thought-provoking mix rather than a thought-diminishing mix. We'll see what comes out of my computer next.....

Take care.

Thanks for the ride
Hi Henry. This one had me drifting away, just a bit on edge, but in a majestic sort of way. Insistent was a good description. Thanks for the ride. Regards, Peter.

Hi Peter......
I do hope you are keeping well. Thsnks for stopping by to listen.

I try to make the description fit the mix, or vice versa. Depends how I approach the mix.

Take care.

Without reading...
your description, my thoughts was already drifting towards the fringe with this one. My mind was imaging streams of energy (or life force) from the tops of our heads being consumed by Not so friendly aliens. Each different tone was someone else, and the lovely patterns of your textures were their life patterns (so beautiful so frightening). Thats all from me-patty

Hi Patty......
Your thoughts (about my mix) were brilliant. I listened again to the piece with your thoughts on my mind and could imagine and almost feel what you describe. Very eerie.

Hopefully the next mix will be more pleasant.

Take care.

My brain exploded ages ago, so this is easy sailing for me. Hehe, I always love your pieces, so when you experiment, it's even more exciting. Great stuff, as I knew it would be!

Hi Dani....
Mmmm. My mind has been on a trip for a while too and seems to shut down randomly. I've a vacation coming up in a couple of days to sort things out (if possible) and chill somewhat besides taking my parents to Blackpool for a few days. Yippeeeeeee. Coney Island without the Coney or the Island or something like that.

Take care.
