Description
On Monday 4th July we had a jam in The Shed with some local musos we'd been wanting to play with for a while - this is the first post from that session - there are probably 2 or 3 more to come.

"I Am" is a song by Garry Carson Jones recorded live at The Shed in Pambula Beach (our rehearsal space) - it started off as a beat and a bass riff, and Garry took it in the direction you hear here. This is the first (and only) run we had of the song - none of us had heard it before, and Garry had forgotten he'd written it quite a long time ago. I think it's fair to say that we all had a great afternoon!

Personnel here are:
Garry Carson Jones - vocal, guitar
Dave Crowden - bass
Peter Reid - drums
Lyndon Lewis - guitar
Neil Porter - slide guitar

Mixed and produced by Neil. As it's Garry's song, downloading is disabled - sorry.

Great song. I love the vocal. Everybody in the band delivers excellent parts and performs them expertly. Really good sounding recording.

Great work by all...
Hey Guys, as I said in the forum, I really like this. It has a classic, spacious Aus-rock vibe that reminds me of some of Chain's early work. The musicianship is top notch and the jam nature of the performance is captured wonderfully well. Great work by all. Would love a D/L... Thanks, Peter.

At one moment...
...it reminds me of a long Mark Knopfler intro, and at other times reminds me of Neil Young in the 80's and 90's, getting into the textures of the guitar against a steady beat....

Steady and good hearted envy over here for you and your buds and The Shed....
