The Fate of Knowing (Another Dune Mix)

 Genre: Ambient

This soundscape is a heavy mix that tries to sum up the 'vision' or prescient knowledge that Leto II, the God Emperor had, as, some would say, a part of his curse.

There are numerous references to Dune within the piece. They recur as they are things at the front of Fremen minds and are the backdrop of life there in that harsh setting.

The soundscape is a smidgin over sixteen minutes. Keep the volume down if you will.

The fate of knowing
I haven't read the Dune books so I don't really know what you're refering to but I get a feeling here similar of being in trouble or being chased down.

Interesting and great sort of drip drop sound in the background! Add a lot to the piece.

Hi aRcTip......
Part of this characters story was a journey on a long road that also included a bridge. The journey was through desert. If I told you any more I'd give the story away!!

Take care.

I remember
the Bene Gesserit saying, "For the father, nothing" in the movie. This certainly would be at home in that story. Thanks.

Hi Char.....
There are so many good parts to the original six novels that I could make Dune soundscapes until forever!! The quotes throughout the books are a big part of the context and everything else to do with Dune and all the characters within it.

Take care.

It took me away!
As my last contribution was a Dune-themed song, I had to check this out! It feels like I’m being transported to a number of places……the aftermath of the demise of the dinosaurs, the dawn of man, the beginning of time, Dave Bowman traveling into the monolith! I like the imagery of being “inside one’s mind” though. That is an interesting concept for a song…….and as we all know, the inside of one’s mind can be a complicated place. I love that it is subtle, yet one could listen to it multiple times and hear something new in it each time. Nice work.

Hi SMG.....
Glad you could stop by to listen. This theme 'of The Fate of Knowing' is one of speculation. Probably. The fact that fate can be 'written' or that everyone moves to the same song is something we could all debate upon, probably till the cows come home. The God Emporer had a monopoly on the manipulation of the threads of all those lives.

The reason you can hear different things different times is that we still exibit free will and imagination is a part of that (or all of that) depending on your point of view and your experiences during your life.

I do remember your music. It's been a while....We all need another dose of your soundscapes........Pretty please.

Take care.
